Latest trend applicants getting DM 7-15 days after 'in process '. But since they don't have your medical , you have to wait for their medical request and then you submit . So basically you did delay your process little bit .
It was really surprising to receive a call from NDVO office to get the medical done just after I sent this post :). The lady said she is going to email me the medical form but I haven't received it yet. Should I wait till tomorrow for the email ?Is it a normal form which we can also download through the cic site or it will contain some further information about my particular case? Please suggest

Pl download the medical form from the website, keep it ready, set up appointment with nearest designated medical center for early next week and so that this email from NDVO, will also arrive timely and you also dont waste time waiting for the email. You should have done upfront medical but you did not now costing you precious 2-3 weeks but it is ok, get meds done ASAP

I see NDVO is now in their 9 month mark. With Sep applicants being less, I forsee this to become 8 months soon.

Plus I know for a fact that, NDVO stopped asking for Passport too early starting Nov applicants which means that they had further chance to reduce backlog and so I see this 8 months soon becoming 7.5 months.

Only catch is that Oct and Nov application load should not 300+ but which I highly doubt will be the case, as Oct and Nov and even Dec are traditionally not that busy when it comes to marriages in India. Only June, July are.

dear all,

my application was received on oct 22, 2013. i did my medicals in september and entered the 'code', in the application form submitted.
ecas still shows application received and nothing on medicals. do i need to be worried? no replies to my email addressing the same query from visa office - did u or did u not get my medicals?

your case will go into IP on or before July 22nd 2014. Until then and even after that, you will not receive anything from NDVO. You have to sit tight ofr now

yeah, i understand the timeline flow; but its the medicals i'm concerned about -since it has not been updated in the system, i dont want get too far ahead of myself here, but could it so happen that they never got it and simply didn't inform the same?

Sometimes med results are updated in ECAS and sometimes it is not. Assuming you did your medicals with one of the designated hospitals, the hospital also directly updates NDVO with the results of the medicals and iam sure NDVO already has your medical results. Right now, all you have to do is wait for your PP with visa

I see everyone here is saying only 100 applications for September but as per my understanding its way more than 100. That dataset only shows the applications received at VISA office abroad. Hence 109 is the number for application received at NDVO upto sept 30th. There must be many other applicants whose applications must have been received at NDVO after sept 30.
2ndly there are usually 7-8% people on the forum for each month. As per that if there are 18 people on forum, Total comes out to be 225( More may be joining the forum soon).
So I would suggest to stop relying on that number until new dataset comes in.

No, the data set shows 109 applicants received at NDVO for September. VO abroad means abroad from Canada office point of view as the dataset provider is here in Canada. So yes, it is in fact 109 applicants only received in Sep.

oct and nov- Yet to be known.

Dont go by their website- it is just an average processing time they post based on some averages they do. Plus they always post outer limit when they post processing times.

Go by current trend. Currently they are processing Sep second week applicants.

How much money my wife can carry in Travellers cheque or cash or draft while leaving India.Any restriction at the Indian customers regarding that ?

I am already in my 13th month of processing time and will finish it soon in July!!! still no updates... :( :(

Hello All, Here is my situation, I got married in Feb 2013, my wife got her medical done in April 2013, we filed the application in Oct 2013 because her birth certificate was not in order. My question is since her medical has expired should I be proactive and have her redo the medical and send it in to NDVO or wait for them to ask.

Please advice.

Best thing is to wait for them to send you re-medical request...
