This sounds so ridiculous.. Getting a Police clearance for 6 month old infant! I can't imagine babies having criminal records. I wonder if being too cute could be an offence

But regardless of the ridiculousness of the system, I think it is in your best interest to provide them with what they require. It is painful, but bureaucracy is never known for being logical.

The Canadian immigration system has become rotten. It is infiltrated with all ethnic people who bear prejudice against people like them who are immigrating. These are the same type of people working in NDVO only worse otherwise they will not be responsible for causing such turmoil within spouses and families separated. In 2012, someone who applied for their spouse PR got it in 6 months (entire process end to end) and now it is taking 9 months. This is even worse than Australia or New Zealand or even US for that matter.
