They have recently started mid September (file transfer dates), they assess your current relationship with husband rather than past one. So wait for your turn may be approximate 1 or 2 months at this speed.

Congrats :)

hmm.. well all the MP enquiries for 7-8 months said background checks happening until we got the remeds.

I guess I'll have to wait and watch.. Let's see. But generally it is the final stage from the trends etc?

Has your ecas updated to in process? if yes then it is near to final stage.

Hey guys,

I haven't been very active on the forum, but all your inputs have been extremely helpful. I am a March 2013 applicant. Don't ask - my background checks stretched my processing length this far :(. (I have been to Canada before - hence). Anyway after all that I finally got a request for medical reassessment on 25th April. I did it on 30th April. I understand that there is no fixed time frame for remedical assessment to move towards a DM and subsequent arrival of passport with visa. But does anybody know if this reassessment is the final stage of an application?

I mean could there be more checks after?

Anybody? Please help!

are you 'in process' now? if you had gone into 'in process' and have sent remedicals and passport, the conventional wisdom is that it takes one to two months to get visa (of course nothing is set in stone for NDVO..so my prediction is like a magician pulling a rabbit out of hat....if successful rabbit comes out if not maybe a donkey comes out)

Hi,
I am new member here. We applied in Oct mid 2013. and my passport was requested in Jan mid 2014 but since then no updates. It's my husband's second marriage and thus second case. Do you think it should matter?

second marriage per se won't be a reason for interview but if second marriage happened before dissolving the first one properly or second marriage immediately after the first one dissolved could make visa officers' old fashioned mind to suspect something fishy here...but if you have provided solid supporting documents that could answer their questions then they would not call you for an interview...

Does having lived in canada in past have negative implication on this process? I have sent in the Canada Pcc though.

no unless you shot a moose and did not inform the royal police...if you had a clean record (free of crime and didn't do anything illegal) then nothing to worry about....

Thanks! Yea I was a simple student there :P. Few posts back there was a post where someone mentioned that his/her background check was stretched because of this.

One month since remeds on May 3... Status says Medicals results have been received
In Process since Apr 26...
What more do they want ?? :( :( When will this wait get over ? :(

Two months since remeds updated...In process since December 2013.....When will this wait get over???

I'm on week 7 of having sent remedicals...and it wasn't even a full medical just a chest x-ray.

Hoping to have something by next week.

also there was someone who claimed he got benefit of previous stay and a visitor visa for Canada, he was the only sept applicant who got visa before aug applicants.
so you never know NDVO, they can consider it a positive or sometimes fishy stuff. Its totally on visa officer's mood.
