Remedical letter. Did they send your passport back or are they asking for a chest xray?

you need your passport to do remedicals (though some people have done it without passport)....he/she cannot tell you if your visa is approved or not without checking your medicals (say if they approve your visa before medicals and then they find out you have TB they will have to wait until it is cured)...logically why would they ask you to do medicals again if they have already decided to deny your visa? so relax and enjoy your few months before you get your visa....

Hi guys,

Do we have to inform CIC about speeding, parking tickets ( from New Zealand) and what if we have some due parking fines with ministry of justice ??

yes you will also have to tell them if you were caught smoking in non smoking zone..just joking...no speeding tickets will not be an issue only if you were caught drinking and driving in Canada (which is a very serious offense)

My MP says an MP inquiry will delay the process because it is pulled from the queue. Other posters have said this too while some posters say it does not impact anything.

Not sure what to believe.

MPs, lawyers, visa officers are all morons (not necessarily in that order)....MP inquiry (I did it twice) or ordering notes (four times) has not affected my processing time (same 10 months to 1 year like everyone else)

Well the good news is that this means you are good so far. They wouldn't request re-medical if they had any red flags.

I also applied 4 times for notes and I did an MP inquiry last month. I am in process from last week, same timing as other august applicant. I don't think it can affect...

Thanks everyone. I will submit MP inquiry form today or tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone who got IP or DMs. Wishing speedy visas to all. Seems like NDVO is working, though not at a very desirable pace...

I have an issue that came up and need some help. My wife had a medical issue and had to undergo a minor surgery last week in India. The surgery went well and she is recovering, however, the doctor has advised her to take strict care (also avoid traveling) for the next 3 months.

We were hoping that her visa would arrive soon (we are september applicants) and she would travel by July. Her medicals expire on Aug 5th.
But now, seems like she might not be able to travel before her medicals expire, even if her visa arrives on time.

Do you think we shall inform CIC about this? If yes, when and how?
Should we wait until she gets 'In process' or inform them right away?
To inform them, should we email them or call CIC in Canada or try to call NDVO?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If i were you, i would not disturb the apple cart and let the visa come as it would normally and then take a call from there. Who knows you may get a visa validity of 2 months and in that case then you have some breathing space.

Thanks andrewset. But dont you think that like most cases, if I get a validity of 1 week after medicals expire, then I will not be left with any other option.

Once the passport is received with a visa, I don't want to consider the horror of sending it back to NDVO for a stamping with extended date. :(

Hello

How many days they are taking after re-medical is done? whats the procedure after that?

Hilarious!! :P
