Hi! I applied for spouse visa in October 2013.file is in new delhi office from 7 months.how long we have to wait? Is this ok if I send inquiry from canada?

no its early to send an enquiry. .if u r Oct applicant then u should wait 1nd a half month..as per ndvo's speed dere r lots of files pending so Oct's turn take some time. ..
whats ur full timeline ?

Hey,

I am applying for PR of my wife . Is it necessary to attest the photocopies of documents such as passport, birth certificate etc.?
Also, we married in ordinances of Sikh religion, is it necessary to attach anandkaraj certificate issued by gurdwara, or only marriage certificate will work?

I also had a sikh wedding as yours. Our lawyer asked for both the certificates to file; Anand Kaaraj (to be on the safer side) as well as marriage certificate (being the mandatory document).

If thats the case then I am not going to do MP inquiry.

GCMS note is a electronically generated file then how come NDVO has to pull the file to provide the info.

I dont know how GCMS actually works but just thinking about it would work, let us say your file is not even touched- until it goes into 'in process', it is pretty much sitting there and no VO has touched it which means they have not even entered anything electronically either except 'App received' and or 'Meds received'. So when you do GCMS, they have to manually pull out your file, look at the progress and hten type that in electronically and send you the status elctronically. I think only us receiving it is electronic and there is nothing else electronic about GCMS. So in essence, we make the VO pull out your file and then knowing these guys are lazy, they are not going to put your file back at the same spot they pulled it from. I am guessing, if they pulled your file out of the 'Aug' bunch, then they will just stick it back into August bunch preferrably at the bottom because it is easier for them. I have also observed over last 6 months, people who dont bother much about these GCMS or MP, they get their DM faster- I am not too sure about all this but this is what I think is causing all this irregularity where Aug 8th is getting visa but not Aug 16th.

I agree with you Desijatt. It's just been 5 months for me to file application te rishtedaar ta jidda mere sir te swaar ne. So i can understand your case. I work outside my home town but they still keep on poking me by calling every time and now. Dimaag kharaab kar ke rakhye sachi.

Thanks for the information but GCMS is a electronic file which is of 22-25 pages.NDVO will not take out the file and start typing 20-25 pages as we know they are very hardly working people ;D . In my case GCMS note helped bcz I missed Passport request.CIC entered wrong email address and sent the PPR on that wrong email address.Through GCMS notes I came to know that PPR was sent on OCt 2013.
