Thanks, guess its a waiting game now. My case is a bit different though as I'm a citizen of Canada since 1990 and went back to study in India for 5 years. This is when I met my husband. Hopefully they will take this into account when considering whether my relationship is genuine.

That's a very strong case , you shouldn't be worried at all .

Yes, if you have a long relationship spanning many years then this serves as proof that your relationship is genuine, you shouldn't worry. Don't stress yourself, everything will work out in your favor. Best thing to do is chill, it takes time, but in the end you will be together ;)

Around Jan14 only the NDVO started not asking for passports at the beginning May be due the process time incresed to 13 months and many cases of remedicals; people are not able to make some short trips etc. This is a normal procedure. Earlier they were asking on opeing the file at the beginning itself. Pl do not worry. Wish you a speedy visa.

Hey sun sweet actually mines is November 18 application.Timeline is same as urs and still I haven't got my ppr that's wat worrying me.

My wife is saying that since I have a travel history by which she means that in the last 6 years I have been to 6 to 7 countries that's why they aren't asking for my passport.this thingh is killing me

Did you get an email for remedical? Is your ecas showing now in process?

No my wife did not get an email for re-medical yet. It's showing as 'In Process' however, and it is showing that medical results have been received.

So I am not even sure if we are supposed to do re-medical or not, officer said we would have to....

Waiting game....NDVO sucks....

In most of the cases, they have asked for the remedical within few days... as per your timeline, it is visible that your medical has been expired. You try to send them query through online form option on their website.

For those of you who have gotten re-medicals done, does your E-cas say "remedicals have been received" or "medicals have been received"?

I have not seen anyone on this forum that posted that their Ecas says "remedicals have been received", but just checking with you all.

Just says medical not remedicals.

Hi,
I have one doubt, we could not go for honeymoon immediately after our wedding due to my spouse work commitments. So went later after two months when my spouse visited me. Later on we sent all documents, bills n other supportive doc's to Ndvo. Will this have negative impact on my application?

nope..it will affect only if you got married and then left the next day back to Canada (even then you can explain at the time of interview that work prevented you to have honeymoon but since the marriage you had visited your spouse couple of times; history of communication; gift exchange etc..the point is to show that it was not getting the visa kind of marriage) and never did a trip back....

hey Chatwant,
I also applied on Nov 15 and no PPR and its not a matter of worry, acc to a few sources that I know

Immigration officers are very experienced to identify if relationship is genuine , so no genuine relationship get refused . Even if there's a mistake or more proof required ,they will contact you and give you chance to provide . So on going relationship even while file in process come handy if required at later stage .
