Hi,

Along with August, there are some Sep applicants as well who have gotten their visa.

ooooooo you are a September 10 applicant, and NDVO is currently processing mid August applicants. Since you are an early September applicant, I would say that you should get your visa before your medical expires. You case will be exactly like mine, you will get a call and asked to travel before some day. I wish you GOOD LUCK my friend, don't worry, you will get it ;D

another Tuesday gone, I was in a false hope that they will finish Aug/Sept this month as less no of cases, but NDVO is strange to predict, they have stretched aug so much, now I guess they will finish Aug in June, God knows when they will start Sep, Oct. This is totally rude, how long they gonna use the excuse of strike, now is the time to catch the speed and they are being lazy instead.
I ordered GCMS, found nothing in that except medical passed, and nothing started yet. This is summer time, best time for driving classes, interviews, settlement there, and it is another year lost for us if we reach in snow time.

Neha

What I am seeing with NDVO is that nothing is linear with them. In fact, i know they may also be processing Sep and even oct for all we know. Just because we do not see these people on the forum, does not mean they are not doing it. Just hang in there. I think Oct will be done in June itself, Nov in July and Dec in August or before that.

Had my interview today....was scheduled for 10.30am
I was at the High Commission at 9.30am, and they called me for interview at about 10.45am. I went alone as wife was in Canada. A white middle aged lady took my interview. She was cordial and heard out what I wanted to say. She didnt ask any dates as such...only the marriage date and how many days we stayed together after marriage. Whenever she asked me a question, I went all out and explained in detail. She was kind enough and very patient with me. Her queries were more about our relationship and how it blossomed, and why we did'nt marry before my wife got PR and why we could not stay with each other for more time after marriage, where did my wife work while in India, and questions mostly surrounding my wife's career in India etc.. Finally, she asked proof of communication I and gave about 350 pages transcripts of whatsapp and skype, which she looked just once and gave back and out of the blue told me that she is satisfied and that she is going to approve for visa.. :D and she gave me back the photographs which i had sent with my application and she said that she is going to keeping the Passport and will check for medical expiry and will let me know in a few days....And it was over! took about 50 minutes!

I went back to the hotel and thought of spending the day out in Old delhi and at about 2.45 pm, when I was near the Red Fort area, got a call from the HighCommission, and the guy, Richard asked me if I could land before June 10th! I was confused as I have some pending works to do... and was not sure it will be complete by that time. He reassured me and told me to get back by tomorrow and let him know my decision, and if I cant then they will send a remedical letter. He said not to take any risk and rush, as if i cant land before that it wont be possible to extend it.. (The call got disconnected once and he called me back again in 5 minutes and explained patiently.. as the mobile reception in that area was really bad). So have to inform him tomorrow that I am looking for remedical.... thats the story of today! Relieved and truly excited!! :D ;) :D ;)

So, people just be confident in the interview and let them know you have a true relationship! Best of luck and hope this helps!

Heartiest Congratulation bud
Really feel good to see you getting visa . My application was two days after you , so got me excited aswell . Thanks for sharing .

Reading information shared by others , I think all June July August applicant will hear very soon if your medical expiring in June .

There will always be conflicting answers when it comes to this question. I applied on July 11, 2013 and my file transfer was August 12, 2013. In my case, they seemed to have taken the file transfer date of August 12. For some people it is the date they applied, it all depends on the mood of NDVO officers and I think it also depends on when your medicals are expiring. They seem to get your application through faster if your medicals are going to expire soon.

This sums it up quite right as NDVO is completely illogical and not transparent at all.

Hi I'm new to this forum and had a question,

when they ask for proof of communication between husband and wife, do they want all the pages? because I have a lot..close to 600. so I just sent in a couple of pages and wrote a note saying there were too many pages to include..this shouldn't create a problem right?

Also we had to ask for my husband's passport back as he had to come to Canada to give an exam. we sent the passport back as soon as he returned to india. would this create a delay in our file?

applied September 25 2013
file sent to new delhi on October 7th 2013
passport request on October 29th 2013
passport sent on nov 1st 2013

Hi Friend, if it was me personally, I would have sent in all the pages, this prevents them from asking for "additional documents" later on in the process. Since you told them that you have additional pages with you that you did not send, they might end up asking for these later on in the process, thus delaying your visa process. Many people on this forum have received the "additional documents requested" e-mail from the New Delhi Visa Office (NDVO). When I filed my application I sent 200+ photographs and 200+ pages of whatsApp conversation. GOOD LUCK ;)

Is it 600 pages double-sided? I got in trouble when I sent in such less evidence as instructed by some members of this thread, Officer had a hard time in making out if our relationship was genuine or not. Don't worry about the size of your application or the size of your envelope (get a bigger one!)

Throw everything in their face and as much of it as you can, don't worry about size. You don't want an interview and painstakingly long years of waiting...

Since you already filed application , no point worrying now . Your case is strong enough with your husband already holds Canadian visa . If there's a request in future , do it then .

BINGO ! ! ! If you have to put it into a box . . . DO IT :P If you get a "additional documents requested" e-mail it can delay the process up to 1 month, or worse, they can be unsure if your relationship is genuine or not and call for an interview. The whole "spousal sponsorship" process is based upon proving that your relationship is genuine, and nothing does that better than lots and lots of evidence. I personally know of applicants who put their application in cardboard boxes (2 feet wide x 2 feet deep x 1 feet high) because they had lots of evidence.

Thanks, guess its a waiting game now. My case is a bit different though as I'm a citizen of Canada since 1990 and went back to study in India for 5 years. This is when I met my husband. Hopefully they will take this into account when considering whether my relationship is genuine.
