hey Gaggi, biggest congratulations, I am very happy for you, I guess everyone in the forum is, we all know they were being unfair by considering you an august applicant and you really felt bad seeing aug applicants getting dms and you were still waiting, but see prayers are answered eventually, could be little late,
anyways, good luck with your future, hv fun, and just forget about the waiting time, enjoy this beautiful life, and specially after this long separation we know how important n valued our life partner is...congrats once again.

THANK YOU SSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH ! ! ! ! ! ! ! It was weird being considered an August applicant, now it just feels like such a huge load has been lifted off my shoulders. All the relatives are finally happy, no more questions about when my wife is coming etc etc. Eventually, after 10 months of waiting (13 months of separation) it was all over in just 3 days. I have done the medical on 16 May and they recieve it today they only ask me chest x ray
At the time of interview she told me that she extends my medical but after one day they send me letter asking medical reassessment

Seems a lot of people (including my spouse) got the chest x-ray thing. Is there a tuberculosis outbreak happening in India???

I applied for MP enquiry on Friday.. she told me it will take 5-10 days to get a reply..

From GCMS notes i know medicals are valid till 24th June.. i wish my wife get her visa before that.

I want to know that did you get PPR from NDVO since you have filed your application? If not then did you inquire during your interview if you need to submit your passport after remedical?

I got married in january 2014 and came back to canada in april 14. I plan to apply for my wife in may but I don't have job right now. Should I apply or wait and apply after i get a full time job?

having a job is not a requirement..do you have enough savings (pension plans; enough money in bank accounts; fixed assets) or proof (education; related to bill gates) that you will be able to get job....

It's strange people that being a December 2013 applicant I still haven't received my passport request where as the timeline which I see over here suggest that everyone has received passport request within 1 or 2 months of their application

Hi, As per new processing time, may be they will ask for PPR later.

But in my case too, being sept 2013 applicant, I didn't got PPR. Then, applied for GCMS notes in Jan. I got to know, they have entered my wrong email address in their system and so I missed my PPR in Oct. On the basis of GCMS notes, I sent my passport to them.So, Better I suggest, apply for GCMS notes. Atleast u will be sure abt your initial details in their system.

Hi Simran,
You don't need a job to sponsor your spouse....It will be good if you show some funds in your bank or if you have a house but it is not the requirement...My husband got job after 1 month of his Sponsorship Approval and now he sent the Employment letter to NDVO....Even the CIC people would tell you it is not the requirement...SO don't waste time for the job...Just apply coz the process is long....

A [size=10pt]HUGE[/size] WEEKEND FOR ME GUYS, HERE'S THE STORY:

- My wife's status went to "in-process" on Saturday May 17 (We started processing your application on May 14, 2014.)

- On Monday May 19 she got a call from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh confirming her date of birth, full name, and address. As well, they asked her if she can travel to Canada before June 8 (as her medicals expire that day), she said "YES!!!!!!!"

- She got a call today May 20 at 12 noon asking her to pick up her passport from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh before 2pm and she went in 10 minutes (as she lives in Chandigarh) and picked it up ! ! ! ! ! ! !

- They returned all our photographs along with the passport with the Canadian visa in it, online status still says "in process"

SUPER SUPER EXCITED AS THIS TORTURE HAS FINALLY ENDED ! ! ! ! ! ! !
