rude strict interviewer.. asked me few questions and sponsor was nt interviewed she said will review and let u knw.. no time limit.. damn waiting

Hi All,

My application was received by Mississauga office on Dec 19th 2013.

Sponsorship approval was on Jan 23 2014.

PPR from NDVO to my spouse is dated Feb 22nd 2014.

Now which date is taken into account when we all talk about 'they are working on August applicants now or they are working on Sep applicants now'. Is it Dec (the date on which the file was received here inside Canada) or Feb (the date on which the visa office abroad received it).

There seems to conflicting opinions on this from different members on this forum.

Pl advise.

A HUGE WEEKEND FOR ME GUYS, HERE'S THE STORY:

- My wife's status went to "in-process" on Saturday May 17 (We started processing your application on May 14, 2014.)

- On Monday May 19 she got a call from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh confirming her date of birth, full name, and address. As well, they asked her if she can travel to Canada before June 8 (as her medicals expire that day), she said "YES!!!!!!!"

- She got a call today May 20 at 12 noon asking her to pick up her passport from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh before 2pm and she went in 10 minutes (as she lives in Chandigarh) and picked it up ! ! ! ! ! ! !

- They returned all our photographs along with the passport with the Canadian visa in it, online status still says "in process"

SUPER SUPER EXCITED AS THIS TORTURE HAS FINALLY ENDED ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I WISH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CASE :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Congratulations for your visa!! :) Enjoy!!

More commonly, when it is official communication with embassy like mp enquiry etc, they refer to app received in Delhi NDVO and the official timing of 13 months thereafter.

When the forumn members talk about july, august applicants, it is most likely the date in which mississauga receiving the app(stage 1).

More senior members can correct me if i am wrong. We should also remember, each case is treated differently and the forum communications are only guidelines and discussion on individual experiences.

There will always be conflicting answers when it comes to this question. I applied on July 11, 2013 and my file transfer was August 12, 2013. In my case, they seemed to have taken the file transfer date of August 12. For some people it is the date they applied, it all depends on the mood of NDVO officers and I think it also depends on when your medicals are expiring. They seem to get your application through faster if your medicals are going to expire soon.
