Best vacation ever.. came to India for 3 weeks and got IP, DM !! :D

Congrats Buddy :)

Enjoy ur stay

interview was mainly about relationship progress; timelines (we spend hours and hours memorizing date and years but no questions were dates and years and no photos were shown and asked for dates and years); when it become strong; family particulars and it ended with 'I will let you know in two weeks'. At this point, we have no idea if we got it or not. Reason being passport was not asked and nothing about remedicals. Interview lasted about two hours. One thing that really helped was going through application form, notes (most questions were from their concerns mentioned in the notes), supporting documents and forming possible questions plus 250 questions posted in this forum. All the questions were answered to the interviewer's satisfaction except one.

Just a brief background - family is opposed to this relationship; partner applied for tourist visa but did not declare the real relationship but mentioned it as visiting 'friend' and not 'partner'; did not get tourist visa. Interviewer kept asking why it was declared but my partner explained that since the application form was filled by a family friend and if the family knew it would end up in a forced marriage to another person. Interviewer seems to accept it first then keep asking this question again and again few times and my partner stuck to the same answer. She kept asking few times why did you lie in your application for tourist form. Why didn't you come to us and ask for help? At that time the receptionist called the interviewer wanting to know when the interview will end because she wanted to go for lunch (I was in the hall waiting and receptionist, a fat Indian woman, asked me if I was waiting for my turn. I told her at that point as a sponsor I may be or may not be called in for interview but not sure...then she called interviewer) and interviewer got irritated and ended the interview with 'will let you know in two weeks'. I hope Canadian lady understands that when applying for tourist visa there is no category called 'partner' in the drop down list of relationship to the person you are going to visit.

Only sponsored person was interviewed. A Canadian white woman asked questions. Very nice woman. Did anyone had this woman as an interviewer and did she tell the result right away (like Indian visa officers) or not?

Hello Guys and galz.........congrats to all those who are getting updates and wish all the luck to all the members waiting for their turn including me...........

A quick question.............i am planning to apply for notes....
I know there's a need to attach consent form IMM 5744 but i want to know that is there any need to get it signed by the sponsor and fill out section B of the form in spousal sponsorship??
i am the applicant here.

waiting for valuable replies............

Yes, you need to get the IMM 5744 signed from both the sponsor and the sponsored spouse. However, I am confused which section B are your referring to. The form I filled up was this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf

My wife (sponsored spouse) filled up the form, printed it, signed it and emailed it to me. I printed that signed form, put my signature on it, scanned it and uploaded it while applying for the notes. It worked well and I got the notes after 1 month.

To the seniors :)

NDVO has put the wrong appt. # in mailing address on Ecas. My question is:
1. Should i write them a letter and courier it?
2. Or use the web link they have provided to make any changes to mailing address in AOR email?

Does any one has any exp. with this?

thanks.

Sorry, I noticed what you meant by section B. The form IMM5744 has changed since the time I applied for notes.

Section A shall include the name of the sponsored spouse.
I believe you must include the sponsor's name in section B, this is because the ATIP file includes the information for the sponsor as well.
Section C shall include the sponsor's name for sure.
Section D shall be preferably 'by email'. by mail might take more time.
Section E shall be signed by the sponsor.
Section F shall be signed by the sponsored spouse.

sure i will try both. NDVO do say due to their operational constraints they won't be able to acknowledge receipt of the new information but it will be noted on the file ??? ??? ??? haha

Oh.. do you think it can work? Would they talk to me on my Spouse's client id acct?

Once an application has made it to DM.. will there be a mail or any kind of intimation for the despatch of the passport from NDVO?

Based on senior members on this forum and there inputs I have noticed that it varies person to person ...sometime they first call to confirm ur DOB and address and intimate u ...sometime they directly send you the pp and lot many times ask you to ome to embassy and collect it ...

Ur timeline is same as mine ...is there any update on ur application or is it still showing app received!!
