We are all in the same boat as the March/April applicants that have not received their visa's. But, you must know how frustrating it is to watch . . .

some are lucky in the sense they get their visas without any challenges....rest of us are subjected to long waits..it is the lack of transparency and holding of passport hostage that makes it frustrating (I am not defending NDVO but compared to some consulates the process is much faster than others..some wait for 36 months without knowing what happened)...I fully sympathize with your situation but all you can do is to go with the flow and not get frustrated...

rarely (lucky ones) people get into 'DM' within a week after status was changed to 'IP'. I have to check spreadsheet to figure out how long it takes from 'in process' to 'decision made'. Did they ask you to do remedicals? if they have, then do it otherwise they may waive your remedicals requirement (depends on when you get your decision made status..if it is two months later after your medicals expiration they might ask you to do medicals again) Almighty NDVO has the power to extend your medicals for six months but rarely do so

They did ask for re-meds...but while my application number was correct...my surname was wrong!! And i cant get it done with wrong info!!

Already written so many mails to them for correction n went back to mp to get the mail sorted...only to hear this!!! God knows what they are upto if they claim they haven't even sent me the mail!!!

It'll be a miracle if they extend my meds now!!

The remeds request comes from Health Department. If you check their email its written over there in the signature below. Its a different department altogether. If they have send you a request you might as well get it done.

Hi all,
Need some advice.
I was wondering if I should let NDVO know that I'm pregnant - will that hinder/push my file in anyway?
I'm an Oct 2013 applicant and my due date is in Sep 2014. Should I just wait and hope my visa arrives before my due date (ideally speaking, I shouldn't travel after mid of Aug, 2014) or just let them know and get paperwork ready (new forms fill, add, etc). My husband is a citizen.

Yes i realise the mail was sent from another dept...but my MP was tol di shouldnt have been sent re-meds mail yet cause my background checks are still goin on, so if sent, it was by mistake and should be ignored!!

And the reason I cant do my re-meds is because they got my name wrong on the e-mail.! And the diagnostics said they need correct info!

Hi all...

I just want to know that after DM, do NDVO ppl call us or directly send us our Passport.???

in few cases they have not called or changed statuses before sending passport with visa but in majority cases they have called to verify addresses..in some cases they have asked people to come to high commission office to pick up their passport (cases where medicals going to expire soon)..if you can think 3 different ways that one can receive passport from NDVO, NDVO has 30 different ways to send one's passport with visa...
