Hi All,

While landing is it fine if we give different address then that mentioned in the PR document so as to get the PR card at new address(same city different address). Or will the officer not accept it and create any problems ?

You can give the new address. It is better.....

Officer: tell me about your background?
Me: Sir you want to know about my family or my personal life? (I asked him coz what ever I was answering he was getting mad and was not satisfied, so I was making sure to answer him correctly)

Officer: bhench..d, don't you understand the meaning of background? ok let me ask you in your language (punjabi). Background matlab tera pichwada teri ga...dd.

I cant tell more it was so humiliating.

when a visa is denied and notified by email, do they give specific reason for denial in the email or one has to find out from notes? if an appeal is made in he court and if it is interviewer word against interviewed how do they verify what happened? do they record interviews?

Hi I'm a Canadian Permanent Resident residing in Canada- I got married in Oct 2012 & got my wife's medical done by the end of Oct 2012.
My wife is Indian. I applied for her sponsorship & application has been in process since May 24 2013. I was approved as a sponsor by CIC Mississauga in April 2013 & completed package was then forwarded to New Delhi CHC by Mississauga CIC.
My wife received her PPR in July 2013 & same was submitted to CHC New Delhi with in a week.

Since I had a common-law relationship in past with another person who was a part of my PR application before my arrival to Canada; my wife was re-requested to submit a Severance deed in the matter of my dissolved common-law relationship with that person. As a part of application I had already disclosed this matter & attached an affidavit declaring that common-law relationship with that person dissolved in 2010 with no further bindings to that common-law relationship. However, I re-supplied the affidavit with an Inability letter stating that this is all I can supply as I have no means to contact the person I was previously in relationship with & that I'm now married to my wife named xxxxx.

I told my wife about my past common-law relationship before we got married & she was thoroughly understanding & informed.

The person I was in relationship with, till date never landed in Canada but did receive her Visa through me.

This severance deed was requested by CHC New Delhi in Dec 2013 & was supplied with the affidavit & letter with in a week. We haven't heard anything since. Beginning to being running out of patience I recently in early March 2014 requested notes under ATIP. I haven't received them either. Both of us & our families are getting frustrated because of this unexplained & never ending processing time.

Please advise if there's anything I can do, other than living in never ending hopes!

I did not hold any information back since stage 1/ through out the application process so far. I've been honest about everything. I was never married to this person I was in common-law relationship with. I did not have any child from this person either. That relationship ended & both of us went on our own ways. Have never met, talked or seen each other since 2010 & have no aspirations either.

I love my wife & just want to be with her for the rest of my life; can't bear the pain of being away from her anymore either.

It'll be 10 months in processing time since application was received by CHC. There online status reporting system is also very poor.

Our eyes are getting stoned waiting for to be with each other.

I think that because of your past relationship who was also on your PR application, there is some delay that they want to make sure that your current marriage is genuine. Have some faith and patience. I am sure you will be hearing good news soon as well. Don't worry everything will be fine.
Your GCMS notes take 1 month approximately to be sent to you if you used the electronic version.

So sorry to hear about this Sahil. Maybe you can do an MP inquiry for specific details. Hopefully, he/she can help you too.

Can you tell us if your case was spousal application or was it common law? Can you shed some light on your case? Maybe there was some racism involved or difference of opinions from the interviewer.

Hello "Desi-girl", Can you please suggest me for my query ?May I know how NDVO inform about interview i.e. by E-Mail / Phone Call / Post Huh 2nd question is What is Red Flag Huh

They usually send email to let you know or you can see on ECAS with interview date.. but first they email you.

Red flags are things that make your case stand out such as large age difference, different education backgrounds, previous refusals of visas, 2-3 marriage, etc.

Hello bossbig,

it does really suck that NDVO is taking so long to give us an update and they are just lazy as well. Atleast you have provided the ADR to NDVO so hopefully its good news for you and they may send you an email for re medicals letter if everything is done. NDVO is so unpredictable. Stay strong! Would you mind telling us your timeline with dates? Then Myrah will add you on the spreadsheet. Thanks. Wish you a speedy visa. God bless! :)

thanks for your reply sn0206! i think our timelines are somewhat close enough.... do you have any idea how long it takes for security and criminality, once eligibility is completed? i know it depends from case to case, but just a ballpark idea will be helpful based on the trends you have seen on this forum. cheers.

no they don't have to complete the process by April. Some 2012 forum members have been waiting for 1.5 years to get their visas. There are no such rules that NDVO has to complete the process in 13 months time. Having said that, in general, most applicants get their visas within 13 months time. If a junior visa officer who reviews your application initially recommends interview it is more likely senior officers would go with that and conduct interviews but with additional documents that you have provided he/she may cancel that recommendation. But be prepared for anything.

so just to be specific, april due date is mentioned only in eligibility section. i guess once they are done with eligibilty on our file, they will update due dates in security and criminality. In my opinion, they also have deadlines and someone is managing their performance. have you got your gcms notes and your due dates on your file were not met and you are saying based on experience. please if you can comment. thanks!

in know some people from 2012 are waiting for more than 1.5 yrs, reasons might be complexity and myriads of other reasons or just inefficient immig officer...
