I paid my landing fee in sept 2013.

How much you paid for landing fee . I cant understand. I had sent only my passport. My spouse has paid some fee to mississauga. I think that payment for visa processing fee. Where to pay that landin fee? Please clarify to me.

I got the mail from ndvo octber2013 . They request my passport and landing fee. I had sent only my passport. Im think that landing fee is already paid along with my application at mississauga.

That is normal.. 5-6 years age difference should not be red flag, applicants who apply from European or Australian region have age gap of 20 years with second/third marriage and they gets visa in 4-5 months!!! We celebrate our wedding with our cultural religious norms and age difference with 5 years gets a call to intend an interview, annoying and awful, anyway best of luck for your interview and wish you on spot visa.
yeah may be I will get interview date soon. I will recommend you to apply gcms notes instead of mp inquiry.
Good luck

I suggest you to apply for both notes and MP inquiry, MP replies you in 2-12 days and notes take approx 30 days...best of luck and wish you speedy visa.

Hi,

I am in the same boat. I am also a 17th June applicant but no update yet.

Seems like they have some problem with 17th only :(

Did you apply through an agent/lawyer or was it done by yourself?

Did you also apply for notes, why they have recommend an interview for you ?

These days they are acting smart with the GCMS notes as well. If you apply for multiple notes in a month, they will send a combined one and not process two requests. And you would then not be aware when will those notes arrive :(

Even if you do MP enquiry, you might just get lucky to get a clear update. However, otherwise they generally come back to you with their standard responses, which are not of much use.

Atleast we will come to know if they are working on our file or did they just skip our file and move on to next....generic response or details of files, visa officer take a note of it that we had made an MP inquiry.

well I think mp inquiry makes delay in ur file

most MPs call call centres in Canada and get status...and most of them take easy way saying 'it is within normal processing time. Call me after 12 months' or 'we will follow up after x months time'. Very rarely a MP is able to find what is the reason for delay. Having said that some forum members have found out through MP inquiry about interview schedules and date interview will take place.

What is the meaning of Caips note. How to apply for it

CAIPS and GCMS notes are the same. You can find links on applying for notes under signature of desi girl, myrah, sn0206, and some more forum members. No need to contact your lawyer and pay $500 (if you wish I can do it for you and I accept credit cards if you have no cash)

Some says making MP inquiry makes file moves faster and visa officer makes a note of it, also it shows the genuinity of the case and both sponsor and applicant are concerned about their status, seniors please throw the light on this.

it does not move faster or slower and if it did it is coincidental an has no impact on processing time or speed. It is pure luck some people get their visas on time and some get delayed. Various factors like length of stay in one country (for e.g. if a person had lived in three countries for more than 6 months then it gets delayed for background checks; if additional documents have been requested then it gets delayed....) delays one's files.
