Okay, lets say we mail in the passport, and somehow the NDVO didn't received it, will they ask you for it again or not, if yes after how long? I am just worried because we sent the passport from Afghanistan by British Royal Mail Air Mail special stamps for the forces on them, but no way to track it...

You could request ur spouse in Canada to inquire with the mp and they can call ND and confirm if it's been received!

I am june14,2013 applicant. My medical expiry date is: 16May,2014. Still no update? Can u please suggest how long will they take to process my application?

Some applications process faster than other some get delayed coz of interviews or ADR n some a big question mark to why delayed !! Don't worry dear u shld be hearing soon within the couple of weeks u shld get dm if all clear from ndvo... Have faith be calm wish u a speedy visa

When did you mail passport to NDVO?

November 2013 right when they requested for the passport..

Did the post office tell you approximately how many days it will take to get to NDVO? When did you mail your passport? Give it another week just in case the passport is taking a longer route to get to its destination or there are other unforeseen circumstances where the delivery is delayed. Then
you can apply for GCMS after you have passed the time when NDVO should have gotten your passport. On the GCMS notes, there is a section where it states when the passport was received. So if they got it or didn't then you would know.

Hey Desi girl,Yah they said it would take approximately 10 business days to get to NDVO.. The passport was mailed out back in November 2013 when they requested for the passport. I have ordered notes just waiting for them.. Keeping my fingers crossed ...

Oh thats pretty long now. Try to email NDVO too and thats good you applied for gcms notes. Hopefully it will say they received your passport. Dont worry too much. You would have done an MP enquiry about this right.

hi guys.IAm new in this forum.I know you can help me.I am september 2013 applicant.My husband sponsored me.we send a complete application.they started process my application january 21,2014.the embassy requested a 2 immigration picture and appendix A.I send it February 13,2014.Guys do you have an idea how many days I would wait for my visa and passport to return back?It stated in the letter that the validity of our visa is until august 2014.hoping anyone can answer this.thank you.

I have a question: Me and my wife sent NDVO many mails in regards to my wife's Status and never heard anything from them. Recently, our MP office inquired twice about my wife's file and our MP office informed us that everything is completed now and it's matter of time and she can get Visa any time now. She told us since we applied in 2012 and your file was approved before 2013 which means in 2012 we still come under 10 months of processing time period not 12 months. But, its already been over 11 months.

But, my question I sponsored my wife in November 2012. Just wondering if everything is completed and it's matter of time before she can get Visa anytime how much long do we have to wait... Did anyone went thru this process.

Also, me and my wife sent them mail last week regarding the status. How long before they reply to our mail or is there any special line I have to write it under the Subject line before sending them a mail so that they will check..

Don't send unnecessary mails to enquire/update about the status, it usually delays the application.

Ask your MP's office to enquire from the visa office again.

I sponsored my wife in June 2012, got the sponsorship approved in Sept 2012 and got visa in middle of Jan 2013.

Great news for you, what time did they call you and can you please tell us the number also, seems like they are issuing visas to applicants whose medical report are expiring soon, best of luck and have a great future ahead.

HI NAKSA, Sorry for late reply, have been busy lately. I received the call at 4pm, although with my reading here on the forum they call anytime between the office hours 9am - 6pm.

I received the call from 00141782000, I have truecaller on my phone so, I knew they were calling, installed it to make sure I don't miss their call, no matter how busy I am 8)
