This is the first Monday ever to get me excited. Got Decision Made.

I'm holding my breath till I get her passport with visa stamped though.

Dear Friends,

My wife's online status shows as decision made (New Delhi Office). My question is how long will it take to get the passport home after decision made and also her medicals will expire next month march 8th. Once she gets passport with visa does she needs to enter before her medicals expiry date or is it ok to enter after that also, is there a time limit.

Please let me know.

Your wife got DM on Feb 9th. It takes a week to get the passport with visa. There is supposedly a date with the visa that she has to enter Canada by so she will have to wait and see. Maybe her medicals were extended.


By the way svs, when did you get IP?
Also was your case straight forward? You were engaged after a week of meeting and married after 10 days. And did you stay with you wife after the wedding?

Thank you!! I did apply for GCMS twice..last was in Dec, both have same info, eligibility passed, interview waived, meds passed, security and criminality not started....and last updated date was 22nd august, so practically they havent worked on my file since then...LOL....can you imagine that

As per phone conversation from newdelhi , photos and fee receipt sent on 23rd October

In a way, I can. I am sure they are busy with lots of applications and lack of transparency can make us very frustrated. How do you know that the last update was the 22nd of August? Is that through ECAS? because ECAS is slow to get updated. I am sure they will come around to your application soon too.

Oh dear i got to know last update date in my gcms report....you have last section called notes in that report and latest note was dated 22nd august....also there was a section on transfer of file timelines which tells you when was file moved, updated by details and officer (jus the code of officer) who moved. In that section too, my file was last moved on 22nd august. I wrote them several emails....none answered ofcourse.....lets see if they reply in 2-3 days more or will go for MP enquiry

Thank you Desi-Girl. It is a great news indeed. Now we can try to put all those days suffered behind and start what we supposed to have started a year before.
