Hi guys after my the interview they returned my pp....and now my ecas says DM....any one have any idea abt the decision what it might be.....pls reply

You sent same message again. As desi girl said that NDVO will contact you or will send you a letter about the decision made. You should go for MP enquiry and ask what does DM mean and what is the answer for that. Do it as soon as possible. Try to apply for gcms notes and find out about your status. I know it takes longer too. i really hope its something good news for you and wish you all the bestt!

Hey guys,

I am sponsoring my wife from Afghanistan. when I filed her applications back in October 2013 we didn't include Medicals, we thought there is no point to do it, since her application was suppose to be processed in Islamabad Pakistan (32 Months Processing times). We got the good news when the sponsor got approved , we received email that it will be processed in New Delhi India, soon after that we got passport request... Can my wife do her meds now, or should she wait for med request from NDVO?


Also until which month can a pregnant woman is allowed to travel during her pregnancy?

Yes you can do the medicals and send it. They should attach it to your wife's application. You can show passport request letter and a copy of your passport for proof that that your PR application is underway.
Your wife should ask her doctor about her condition to travel. I have heard where sometimes even 8 months of being pregnant can stop a woman from travelling due to higher risk of delivery especially on long flights.

Thanks ! Yes passport was mailed to NDVO back in Nov 2013 along with the copy of the PPR letter.. Is the passport needed for the Med Exam or we can just show a copy of it or any other documents? Thanks

My spouse is applying for my PR and he will file the application this week. Once applied for PR, I am thinking to apply for student VISA. What are the chances that it will get approved? Does it affect my PR application? Has anyone tried it and got into the student program?

there is one more person in this forum whose situation is similar to yours..he/she applied in feb and still waiting....check desi-girl's spreadsheet...do you have a long travel history or stayed in one or more countries more than 6 months? then background checks might take longer...

I have traveled a lot in India for my studies then job but not outside India, don't know whether they do such extensive background checks. In my case they have not yet started background check since my gcms notes say security, criminality not started. Me meds have expired in november'13 so i guess they will ask for re-meds....they cud have started my background check in august and given me visa then coz everything was flagged ok in gcms....but no they jus prefer to sleep over my file....now i have no idea what they gonna do

I sent about 15 hard copies and then printed out about 35 on publications with explanations....now they want Original copies of photos!

thanks desi-girl..whether there is interview or not, whether they want to give visa or deny, I just want the process to be transparent - why the delay in processing my file? why they haven't asked for passport? if I know how long it will take to get some answer, I can plan accordingly. I can't be in India indefinitely as it affects my PR status...

Totally agree!!! No transparency from their end. I got my passport request after 6 months of application....and its 6 months now after they got my passport and yet no communication....why can't they communicate? I just dont get it.
You can at least manage to be with your wife, where some of us might have not seen our spouses for like a year, as in my case i havent met him in like 7 months and it feels like years....he cant get so many leaves to travel here....travel isnt very comfortable either

Thank you!! I did apply for GCMS twice..last was in Dec, both have same info, eligibility passed, interview waived, meds passed, security and criminality not started....and last updated date was 22nd august, so practically they havent worked on my file since then...LOL....can you imagine that
