Hey guys,

I am sponsoring my wife from Afghanistan. when I filed her applications back in October 2013 we didn't include Medicals, we thought there is no point to do it, since her application was suppose to be processed in Islamabad Pakistan (32 Months Processing times). We got the good news when the sponsor got approved , we received email that it will be processed in New Delhi India, soon after that we got passport request... Can my wife do her meds now, or should she wait for med request from NDVO?


Also until which month can a pregnant woman is allowed to travel during her pregnancy?

Thats awesome news for you. Congrats for ppr. Did you send passport to NDVO yet? If not then you can go ahead and do medicals. Then send original passport and original medicals with a copy of your passport request letter to NDVO. All the best for your processing.

I think mostly pregnant woman is allowed to travel upto 7 months or 8 months before due date.

Thanks ! Yes passport was mailed to NDVO back in Nov 2013 along with the copy of the PPR letter.. Is the passport needed for the Med Exam or we can just show a copy of it or any other documents? Thanks

You sent same message again. As desi girl said that NDVO will contact you or will send you a letter about the decision made. You should go for MP enquiry and ask what does DM mean and what is the answer for that. Do it as soon as possible. Try to apply for gcms notes and find out about your status. I know it takes longer too. i really hope its something good news for you and wish you all the bestt!

Yes you can do the medicals and send it. They should attach it to your wife's application. You can show passport request letter and a copy of your passport for proof that that your PR application is underway.
Your wife should ask her doctor about her condition to travel. I have heard where sometimes even 8 months of being pregnant can stop a woman from travelling due to higher risk of delivery especially on long flights.

Not always. You can show a copy of the passport to them. Print out the medicals application and bring it with you. Also bring the ppr letter just in case if they ask for proof. But they might not ask for it. Your welcome. dont worry. Which months pregnant is your wife now if you dont mind?
