Hello Mine interview is very soon please tell me wedding album and dvd"s are allowed during interview in ndvo.plz reply?

I would take everything i have to the interview, however looking at the past updates they may not check. But its better to be prepared then sorry ...

reading posts of various people who went for interview, there is one lady who seems to be rude and abusing (she is the one refusing to allow sponsors in and doesn't look at the documents); rest of the visa officers seem to be ok (at least polite)...

just realized always waiting for something... Happy Valentine's Day!

as for waiting for other things at least you know what is keeping you waiting (e.g. traffic ....you know accident or snow storm or road repairs something that is holding the traffic...government id cards you know those lazy bums won't do anything and need bribes....with NDVO no idea if they look at the files or sitting at home and having coffee)

Can anybody share the light please. I heard there is a postal strike?

Is this true and where is this strike taking place. How long is this strike in effect? I am waiting for my wife Passport with visa just curious.

Now the long wait begins my friend. I applied in July as well, passport sent in September, and till date no updates. We have 1 more month to go before we hear anything, and maybe 2 months before our visas get issued, if we're lucky. Next, our files will go into "in process", then "decision made", then you will receive your passport back in the mail with your visa stamped into it

NDVO does not acknowledge the receipt of passport. If your mailing service that you used can give you a tracking number, you can find out if NDVO has received it or not. As for time frame, submission of passport is the initial process and so it takes almost 8 to 12 months (more if you are unlucky, less if you are lucky). So wait (not sure about your timeline..normally passport is requested within a month or two after the file transfer so I am assuming you were a June/July applicant..if June then they have started processing now..if it is july wait for some more time). Don't worry about medicals. They extend it based on the timeline and where your application stage at that time. You need their letter to do your medicals again.

Finally i m out.
Just got a call from NDVO saying they have issued permanent visa..
this is the best valentine gift to me by ndvo and i called my husband and shared the same gift with him.
thanks to all for sparing ur valuable time and advising me, thanks a million for bearing with me.

Hi,

My husband is a PR in Canada and he is Sponsoring me. My application was submitted and received at the Visa Office in Canada on July 2nd 2013. My passport was requested on Aug 27th and Medical Received was updated on Sep 12th. Since after that till now I haven't seen any update in my status. Its been more than 5 months since I submitted my passport and am really worried.. In the meanwhile I enquired about my application status to the visa office and they replied its pending initial review and this was on 29th Dec 2013.. Possibly when can I expect my visa ???

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am July applicant too with similar timelines. NDVO has been processing early June applicants so we still have some time to kill before they look at our applications. Good luck.

Hi there I just finish my interview at chandigarh they give all document with pic and pp back as we'll I ask why u give me pp they told me we will send u letter after one week my question is any one recived same day visa or how long time I need to wait thanks

Thank you so much Youtube101 - everything seems full circle now , we seem to understand so much more after interview, btw the officer was I believe was the apparent notorious " mean female Indian VO" she was actually very nice to us - just doing her job , she was compastionate but scrutinizing as per her job.
