Hello dear forum members......my passport is wid NDVO since may 2013 and it's lying with them for 8 months now......on 26 jan 2014 my passport got expired and I haven't heard anything from them so far.....I hav no idea that why they are holding on to my pp for so long and shud hav send it back to me for renewal.....could you guys pls suggest me what I can do in this situation???

hi....welcome to the waiting club......a few ppl r here in similar situation like urs......hv u tried GCMS notes or MP enquiry?

Do u have any red flags in ur case? If u dont mind sharing. ...

Hi.....I hav 7 years of travel history to UK.....rest everything is ok....we did two mo enquiries in nov, dec but got reply that we are waiting for final review.....my wife came to India for 3 weeks.....just went bk today....she will try another mp enquiry once she's there......do NDVO answer phone calls??

Yes u cn give it try.....also try case specific enquiry thru mail

personally I feel its all luck....jst hv to wait....hum bhi wait kar rahe hai saadiyun sae..... .....

One gud thing for u is tht u r goin to complete one yr...so maybe now ndvo may look at ur file...nd u cn push ur MP....

I am also 17 June 2013 applicant.still I am waiting for my visa. There is no changes on e-cas status. I worried about my medical will expire on coming march 1st. I dont know, what I can do for that. I had sent a maill to NDVO.but no response from there. Any idea? What I have to do?

June just started processing. Just wait a little longer, I am sure they will look at your application in February and issue a visa before your medicals expire. Good luck!

SP1990 is a May 31st applicant who got DM on Jan 28. You can check the spreadsheet. It is the first link on my signature below.

Guys got my passport back with the visa .....
Visa stamped - 25/1/2014
Valid till - 21/3/2014

DM updated on ecas - 28/1/2014
Medical updated on ecas - 27/1/2014

And I even got my original birth certificate and marriage certificate back... !!!

I am sure the NDVO doesn't realize that your passport is expired. They would only notice it only when they would have been ready to stamp the visa on it.
Send a case specific request and also do an MP inquiry. NDVO will be alerted that the passport is expired and will send it back hopefully to be renewed.
They would not answer phone calls unfortunately. Hope they respond faster than usual.
