yes that is exactly what I wanted to say....
the sponsorer gets the UCI or in my case the same UCI number when I got my PR and the cic m uses that for process the first time then when it goes to NDVO the NDVO creates a UCI and app number for your wife or spouse....

yes same UCI for sponsor ......my hubby applied for his pr and then his parents he had the same UCI no :)

Hi

Me & my husband are PR holders but I had to come to India when I was pregnant. My baby was born in India & I have now applied for her visa under family sponsorship.

Following are the timelines for the baby's visa -
App received 26 July
Medical 16aug
Decision made 7 Oct
File transferred 29 Oct
Passport request 7 Nov

I wonder how come my decision made is already there since 7 Oct but no work on the visa still & generally I think decision made in all cases in this forum come later after passport request..can anyone explain me this?

Although there are no police verification & other checks for infants but don't know why still there is so much delay on our case. If I don't get visa by apr, my PR might be in jeopardy as it will not meet the 2yr residency requirement..hope the visa comes soon or our family will be away for don't know how many yrs

The decision made if you check on the E-cas, will be on the sponsor side...which means you or/ and your hubby as PR's are sponsoring your child who is the primary applicant in this case.

So a decision has been made, for you or/ and your hubby, to be able to sponsor you child.

I'm sorry im not very sure about how it works for a childs visa overall...but this is what i know of a normal sponsorship scenario

decision made means your hubby is approved for sponsoring the baby so now the long process with NDVO comes in play who will then verify the details of your baby and you and then issue the visa.....wonder if baby still will take 12 months....

your decision made on e-cas must be from the sponsor's side.............don't really know the processing time for child visa must all I know its the fastest in the family class....I think u shld mail new delhi regarding this ....or u can go to your mp in Canada to push your case if he is helpful ask them to mail new delhi frankly this is the fastest way to get answers....maybe these things can help u process your babies visa.....

There r no verifications needed for infant but still it's been 6 months v hav been waiting post applying. Hope god does some miracle & unites back our family.

No, you are totally right. Nobody knows what NDVO is doing. Everytime I hear cases with kids involved, I lose that much more respect for NDVO and CIC together. There should be some kind of fast tracking of applicants if the main applicant is below certain young age.

Yeah u r totally right. In our kind of case it's not only spouses staying apart but also the child has to away from one parent. Probably the most memorable time for married couple of their child's life. Lesson to all couples here is have ur delivery in Canada itself. I cudn't avoid this situation in my case due to special circumstances. But possibly my case can b lesson for lots of people.
