No i have to carry it because we have many indian family friends and they wear original stuff ...have 2 punjabi wedding in may n june so i will carry all my stuff with me

also if you are taking so much jewellry make sure you keep a separate box and never put in your checked in baggage nahi toh tata bye bye ho jayega from your luggage....always keep it with you....dont wear too much as you have to ake it off when going through the scanner.....so the last thing you want is dropping or losing it.....lol

when you travelling in antoher 3 years with your hubby or parents then get it....always better to have 2 persons...so that you can keep an eye on teh $$$$$

u need to get it valued here in india before u go there is no duty 1st time for new immigrants .........since u are carrying big sets........frankly I agree with anupam y u carryling so much jewelry its a fact no one wears so much ....its all artificial jewellery .....my mil told me not to get anything except few things here and there....which im gonna wear and go other little bit im gonna keep in my hand bag..........my mil migrated few months back she didn't declare anything and no one even asked her anything ...she was carrying some 4-5 sets bangles earings etc ....

Chal fir i will discuss this with my mil tom ...i can leave necklaces here and get earrings only of the sets...lets see what she says !!

yeah....dont carry too much cash as you cant carry more than 10000 CDN cash
but travellers and all is fine

We still havent received notification for re medical and police clearence yet..
I am afraid because When NDVO change our time for an interview, My husband didnt receive the email but I did! so, I hope this didnt send only to him..

Any suggestions???

Should I tell my MP?? What should i do??

ok so let me get this right total per person its 10000cad right? either u take caSH or TC RIGHT?

I think there is only the limit of 10000 cash but TCs I dont think there is a limit....but you should check with the site I think....let me try to find an old custom form for canada it will tell you....

OK GREAT thx but to what I heard total has to be 10000cad either tc or cash doesn't matter but u cant exceed the total...if u take more and they find out then they take whatever is more than 10000cad.....don't know how much is true

hey reeyan they take 1-4 weeks to send the re-medical letter..........I think u shld be getting it any day.......I think wait for another 2 weeks max if u don't then u can contact mp.......your file is already in IP now...so don't worry its in their system to send the re-medicals

well it is true for any other person entering canada but when you entering first time on a PR then its different

no no don't worry they always chg the e-cas after interview to IP ...plus they told your hubby that he passed the interview...do don't worry u will be getting the letter very soon good luck and keep us informed speedy visa to u guys
