Yeah it is a holiday on 1st it is mentioned on their holiday list.

When ur ecas status is in process , the interview has been waived off..until then interview can take place.

normally ND visa office does not touch applications for 7 months and then suddenly things start moving...to know if an interview is recommended or not, notes is the best way. Only one or two applicants were able to know through ecas or emails...One April applicant ordered notes last month and he still seeing 'nothing started' on his notes...it is a mystery how NDVO works, there is no definite stage to say this is what will happen at this stage. If you see 'application received' in ecas for a long time, it may be a sign for interview but even this is a not a clear cut signal...

though it is true that ecas showing 'in process' means interview waived (at least so far 2013 applications in this forum it holds true), I wouldn't start packing bags until I see my shiny visa stamped in my passport. In 2012, one applicant thought he got his visa approved when he saw 'decision made' had parties only to find his visa was denied. Crazy guys work at NDVO and you will never know if they make sane decisions.

that is really pathetic of NDVO....they make it dm either way if your visa is rejected or approved.. I just hope they dont keep change the trends....this change of trends is keeping me on the edge..........

there are things that you can control and there are things that are beyond your control (ND visa officers making decisions). You cannot control how people react, only you can control on how you react. I think I should sit by a bodhi tree and say these wise things and make some money ('listen grasshopper...you cannot create a sound with one hand clapping', 'if a tree falls in a forest and you hear it, did it actually fall?')

myrah there is no option inmy profile to update my profile...

when you sign in, there is a profile option at the top of the frame (next to home, assessment, help, search), click on that and on the left side of the frame you see modify profile, there you can modify anything (but no four letters words are allowed describing NDVO actions)....please send me rs.1000 for this useful information and i take credit cards too if you don't have money....
