Oh, how I love to go and visit my wife and family. I already visited once after marriage. It is pretty tight with leave from work to go and visit at will. Another thing I wanted to do that is different from most here is that once my wife gets visa, I will go and bring her to Canada. Not because she can't make it on her own, just that I can't let her go through the ordeal of long travel alone. I want to be there every step of the way.

Application filed: april 10th 2013; ( spouse sponsorship)


I sent the passport on 13 th June 2013 as per request. ( Passport request letter from newdelhi dated: 10th june 2013 ).

As per phone conversation from newdelhi , I did sent the photos and fee receipt on 23 th october 2013.

I haven't heard anything from new delhi after that. Could you please let me know how long i have to wait . Is any body with the same situation?

What does your ecas say? it might take a time to get an update for you since you sent them on october but dont worry you will hear something this month or nxt month.

Seriously, you do have to have to do any thing and just continue working till end. I never provided anything other than job title,place & years. Not even salary information. Not to scar you but you have a government job so your salary would be very good. So they may question you ' why you want to quit such a high paying Gov. job?'. You know, the more you provide, they question you more.

As, what they want is just educated, self depended people in their country. not someone who comes and goes on welfare. And, in interview if they ask 'why you didn't quit ?' Simple: I am self depended person and I have to support my self. And, I don't know how long it will take to process my application, but i am ready to quit this moment if i am given the Visa.

It's my opinion, so don't mind.

I am so scared to post something on this forum as people may take it to heart.

I think, it's wonderful reply if i get an interview..........

im always wondering why cic-m is taking so long and your reply here got me thinking ,im divorced in the past and me and my wife have an age gap of 11years, you think this can be the reason that they are taking so long?? don't want to think about when my file gets to new delhi and how long they would take if this is the case

I think they probably have red flags set seeing the amount of fraud people are doing and it is because of them we are in this situation of this taking so much time.....so a large age difference is something I have seen they will look at you with suspicion and also divorces are especially tricky as they have to cross reference....so one should have a clean slate.....i guess.....

But I think its part of people taking money to sponsor someone just to get someone in Canada on a PR for which when I first came to Canada had heard and even some people offering 50 K CDN dollars and also tickets and all the arrangements.....I think this must be prevalent and its because of these guys we are suffering and they have hardened the scrutiny and also the 2 years probabtional PR......

hi there may I ask when you say phone to ndvo did you call to New Delhi office or they will call or if you call may i ask what the tel no did you contact kindly let me know i am also waiting a long time god bless

guys latest news ndvo has started june applicants ....outside this forum thru my friends friend
4 june applicant and his ecas is in process from 7 dec
so ndvo has jumped from may now gone to june......don't know why cant they process all applicants in the month and then go to the next month !! anyways good luck to june applicants waiting !!

My advice don't go waste your time coz they wld not give out any information infact u will only talk to the security guard and he will shoo u off....or maybe just let u write a note to give it inside that's all............if u are staying in dew delhi....it doesn't pinch to try your luck....if not don't go waste yout time and money on these fools..........someone from the forum a Canadian citizen did go there and he was asked to leave by the guards...without appointment no one is allowed inside !! infact I hope u hear something this week ...good luck aman
