Hey people.. my wife happened to meet a guy in Canada who works in the Immigration Department while she was hunting for an apartment. This meeting was an eye opener for us because he says there are a lot of ‘marriages of convenience', particularly with regards to applicants from India. It seems they detected nearly 50 such cases in the past two months, and even deported a few of them!! They were able to detect one such case when they found the same groom's pictures in two applications, but with different brides!!!
Perhaps this could be reason that the CIC is being extremely cautious; however the downside is that a few genuine cases like ours have to bear the brunt of such fraudster's actions.

that's so true! but what sucks is that the innocent suffer

thx harpreet the list was with 7 ppl initially now its gone to 32 applicants this shows there has been no DM's since a month ....hope before Christmas all get visa's

Time didnt increase at all. Its the same time frame. But i would it depends on case to case. If immigration doesnt find any thing fishy in the case , then i think it would take maximum 6 months, Finger crossed......i think asking them again and again its not a good idea. Bcz they are working on their butts off....
Just be patience .........

unless I ask for notes again and again, I would not know if I am recommended for interview or not..in ecas status they should add, interview recommended then it would solve all the problems....once I know all the details, it is no point in asking them....if the first notes or second notes says 'interview not needed' and 'application and medicals received' no use in applying for notes again again...

Thats why CIC is extremely cautious and they try to find the loop whole in the case.There were many cases in the past in which they found the same groom's and bride's too, These people maculated, thats why genuine cases are having tough time. But Good luck to all.

in law, it is innocent until proven guilty while with NDVO, it is guilty until proven innocent (assuming everyone is a fraud delays all applications). If they want to do a surprise visit to the applicant's house and ask questions, it is fine with me but have transparency in the process..that helps
