But was file sent to NDVO in dec 2012 or 2013? And did you get IP before DM or DM directly?

You should get passport soon.

Sorry.....My file was sent to NDVO on Jan 18th 2013. I was application received till yesterday and then directly Decision Made. (no IP).

Hello Everyone.....I got Decision Made as per Today.

what does it means? Is this a definite yes?

My file was sent to visa office on Dec 2013.
Medical was done on Jan 4th.
Passport was requested in April.

Congrats eclipse087. A Jan applicant getting a status change is giving a slight hope.

average is 4 weeks..........otherwise 2 weeks to 3 months ....we have one applicant waiting since july

anything is possible in that la la magic NDVO land...a day will come when they deliver visas personally at applicant's home ..and when that day comes, I have a VERY special delivery for visa officer

Friends, I am in a lil strange situation here.... Need any suggestions/adivce please...
I jus got my passport request from NDVO(This is my second one. when they initially asked for it I requested for later submission when they actually need it).
They are asking for it by 20th Jan 2014.

Here is the catch, I have a booked round trip travel plan to Canada from US, this christmas thru New year's weekend....

Even if I submit it now, I am assuming that it is highly unlikely that I might get my passport back in 3 weeks.

But waiting for almost a month from now to submit it, is making me feel bad that I am wasting some valuable time....

Wondering What to do :-??

I think u shld submit your passport don't delay it furthur...nothing is more impt than visa rt now plus I can understand that your tickets booked for your holiday? maybe u can postpone your trip?......anyways they requested your pp means its time to stamp it...it can take 3-6 weeks for u to get your visa.....when is your medical expiring btw? does e-cas say medical recd?

Medical : In- progress
Criminality - Passes
Security - Not Started

How long will they take to finish medical and security ? ???

they anyways told u to submit it before jan 20th right.......so submit it after your trip in fact next day once u are back......fact is u don't have medicals updated as yet so 3 weeks cld be risky...cant assure that u will get your pp bk in hand...its your call now
