hello guyz gd evening.....
is here anyone(sponsored person) who is a govt. empployee in India?
actually i want to know that is it necessary to avail NOC(No objection Certificate) for a govt employee(if a sponsored person is a govt employee) from the respective department before applying for spousal visa? does CHC has anything to do with NOC in case of govt employee?

how long does it take for Background & Security Checks after the status of file changed in process ?? any ideas ??

My Security checked were showing "Not Started"till till Nov 14th.
Nov 15, an officer was assigned to work on my wife's file at NDVO...and within a week...Security checks were cleared.
She did have travel history as well.

thx u anupam :) :) why don't u do mp enquiry? ndvo will give u no information except generic....its waste of time frankly

Hello Myrah
Actually if I go to MP the NDVO office will say that this is coming from the sponsorer and I did not fill in the representative form as I thought that was only if you have a lawyer or someone you are using to represent.

I had sent the NDVO office that please let me know the status and then they sent an email that there is no one appointed except the applicant to enquire about any information. the advised to fill up the form for appointing a rep which would take some more time....so if I go to the MP it will still be through me which means they will come back that they cant give anyone except the applicant any information.....did you fill up the form?

Yeah I am going to send it to NDVO vis replying to the email they sent me. My wife is going to sign and scan it to me. I will then sign and scan it to NDVO. in the email, it does say they accept scanned copy of original. So that should be good I think.

Others in the forum, have you gone through this before? and if so, any response from NDVO? any suggestions?

thanks Visu

It does say
Since the forms “Authority to Release Information to a Designated Individual” and “Use of a Representative” require the signature of the visa applicant, we ask applicants to return the appropriate form by fax, by mail, or by email (scanned copy of original signed document). See our contact information below. All correspondence sent to our office must include contact details, the file number and bear the signature of the applicant.
I am glad that they can scan it and send to them...I Was just wondering how much time it is going to take.....
I will have that form sent....
the other thing I was thinking one could use your wife to send the question to enquire about the status....through her email...that will allow them to respond...

Yes myrah...december 15th i should hear something or 16th. They usually take a month from the day officer is assigned to ur file @ NDVO ( most cases.....some lucky ones get it earlier). So in ur case...give it another 3 weeks..and u should see a DM with PP back ...ia .

Apparently there are 2 officers...one that checks all the requirements and one that stamps ur PP.
Once the checks are cleared...the PP\File is sent back to the responsible officer who stamps ur PP.

yeah they broke that trend...mine is from Nov 1st since it is in IP so basically its like 4+ weeks....
I usually see that it takes like 20 days avg....

hmmmmm...thats scrwed up.
Have you tried contacting your MPs office and just asking them to enquire....why and where is the file stuck now?
This is the least MPs office can do.

does your e-cas show medical received and date when officer started working on ur file ?

wow lucky you and now you are getting home made delicious food....enjoy....

I just saw that exactly 50% of the applicants in the spreadsheet got their visas. Still 148 people to go.

No one is waiting "In-Process" since July except me/Chamu :'(

ur waiting in process since JULY ??? why ??? what did ur MP say ? what is the reason behind this delay ?

You can do a minister enquiry..send an email to them if ur file is stuck for no good reason.

Can we do a minister enquiry? I didn't know that. Can we just call or should it be an appointment based meeting?
MP said they are doing background checks so did the notes. This is frustrating.

Yes..you can do minister enquiry. This is absolutely ridiculous.Whats taking so long on these security checks? ur not a criminal...and u have submitted ur PCC.

Send an email to minister@cic.gc.ca and meet up with ur MPs office. Let them know this is not normal...unless u have some special case!

Hi All,

Good morning ...Hope all doing great......and keeping fingers crossed on the process part.
I am also done with the application filling just have few queries:

1) IMM1344E_Application_to_Sponsor_Agreement_Undertaking.
Do I need to have 2 forms - as i am sponsoring to my wife and kid.
Or One form is sufficient , wife being Principal Applicant.
Please advise.

2) IMM5481E_Sponsorship_Evaluation
Option C from Canada Revenue Agency.
T4 form is not available with me as i recently came back from india and landed a job few weeks back.
Shall I submit our Form 16 Indian Tax part.

3) IMM5481E_Sponsorship_Evaluation
Last 12 months salary, since I was in India till october.......
considering the 12 month salary comes to 20,000 CAD ..will this be okie ? to produce or write it in the form
Section: 3 Your net personal income....

or Do i need to show more amount ( as i am sponsoring it for wife and kid).

4) Do u know any one coming from india in couple of days ...just need those application from my wife who is in Bangalore
or I need to go with courier.

Appreciate your time.
Have a nice day

Well the only thing that it shows is we received your file on April 18th
and we started your application process on 1st November. So it does not say anything on the medicals and all....Just 2 lines.....

Well I had sent an email on my behalf the sponsorer on oct 17 and the email they sent back was we canot release any information since I am not declared as the rep
they took like more than a month for that reply
then I just sent an email again from my wifes side and waiting for the reply so it will be months time
hopefully it becomes DM then

I am scared that if I tell my MP to get information they will again say that he is not appointed as the rep for the applicant so cant release information...
Does the MP need to have be appointed as a representative to request the details?
