how do you do MP enquiry? My husband is in India with me right now. so is it enough to send an email to MP office or is it necessary to meet them in person?

depends on the MP, I suppose..for me I had to be in Canada to do MP inquiry which was basically useless..I got better information from my 'notes'

wishing each one of u all the good luck wish u all a speedy visa....I did apply for notes few days bk and I did MP 3 times ...I have directly spoken to ndvo thru my mp..........and trust me it has helped.....I think all u waiting till may shld apply for notes and do mp.....and it doesn't slow your process at all.....good luck everyone may this month of love turn a happy month for all waiting till MAY........

So I just got an email from the New Delhi Visa Office. I had sent an email to the NDVO requesting more information about my file on Oct 17th and they replied today.

It was a long email saying that Privacy act cannot give to anyone who is not authorized including the spouse. So they mentioned to fill up the form
In order for you to submit any documentation or request any changes to an application, the applicant must appoint you as a representative. To do so, the applicant must submit a signed authorization form to our office. The “Use of a Representative (IMM 5476)” form is available here:

They sent such a long email in reply to that and gave no status after such a long time. So basically they wasted my time and their time as well. Has a spouse filled up this form and sent along with the application? Should I send this form and if it will slow things down? How do I send this form and what option should I select for Uncompensated and Family member or friend option?

Also she is in India and I am here and am wondering how we can send the document?

Hey guys...I decided to take a break from this whole immigration thing and didnt check my e-cas for 2 weeks. So I checked on Saturday and the status had changed to "in-process"..I guess its true when they say ..watched kettle never boils!

E-cas shows visa officer started working on file on Nov 15th.

I just found out ( through a connection) that my wife's file shows RFV(ready for visa) and all requirements cleared. This statement was made on Nov 22 but we still havent heard anything from the visa office yet.

I mean if everything is cleared..then why not just give the fkn visa ! whats the point in sitting on it and laying eggs ?


How long does it take after RFV ?

Have some more patience I guess...I think you should be getting the visa soon...aab itna wait kiys tho thoda aur wait kar lo....

Patience is the only way out of this my friend...and i know what very well..

I just need to know how long does it take usually after RFV ...from forum members..

It doesnt make sense that file is ready for visa since Nov 22...and no update since then. Status is still IP.(thank god for that too!! )
