acknowledgement of receipt - it is sent when they receive your application, followed by file transfer, in process and decision made. If you did not receive AOR it is ok as many people don't receive it. Status goes to file transfer directly for many people.

I got aor but the uci number doesn't not work :( why? do I put my last name and dob or my husband's? who im sponsoring?please advise

Hi, This post is about my brother's application filed for Permanent Resident Application. His spouse is in Montreal Quebec. The online status says it is "In-process".

Around three years ago, my brothers-in-laws filed his application in Canada first time and brother got interviewed in New-Delhi but he got denial. They were doubtful about his marriage. Later on, his in-laws appealed in Canada and his wife got interviewed in court. But the outcome was again denial. Last year they have put fresh application and have shown that we are trying for the issue but treatment is undergoing. They had attached medical reports along with the application. My brother got called for Interview in May. He says that the interpreter seemed biased and told we are not giving you visa at this time but will contact you latter on.

The details of the current application are following-

Permanent Residence
1.We received your application for permanent residence on October 11, 2012.

2.We started processing your application on May 28, 2013.

3.Medical results have been received.

4.Interview scheduled for May 2, 2013.

We haven't yet heard back anything from embassy despite the fact that the interview was in May and there was some delay due to strike. Should this delay be considered normal and if any speculation can be made on the kind of decision we will get?

Thanks,
Bhupinder

if i understand it correctly, your brother had an interview and at the time of the interview they told him that they would not give him visa this time but will contact him later on. Your brother's case seems complicated and he had been denied three times and it looks like he may not be getting it again (I sincerely pray that someone above this visa officer reverses his decision). If someone else has a different opinion and prove me wrong, please post your opinion.

Thanks for your reply...confirmation of receiving application is known as aor???

His visa was denied two time earlier and his third time application is in-process. His interview was conducted in May 2, 2013 but they haven't yet contacted us with any decision. The online status is "in-process". The part that is bugging me if they going to deny him again then why it is taking so longer to issue the letter? Should it be normal?

Thanks!

sorry I misunderstood your post. Some people have been waiting for a long time from the time status changed to 'in process'. Do you know when the status changed to 'in process'? recently or long time ago?

Finally, it's DM guys!!! Yippie!! Wish you all a speedy visa!! :)

Hi, I am planning to apply for my wife and kid's under Family class sponsorship.
Currently its taking 12 months for the process (2 months assessment at Mississauga + 10 months at delhi)
I am thinking to apply for visit visa for my wife and kid before applying for PR.
Let me know know what you think.
Please go with PR. It will take way lesser time than mentioned. Visitor Visa may put you on risk.
