I need your help as I want to apply on my own to sponsor my wife. I became PR last year and went back to get married. Now after getting married in december, I'll return back to Canada. I want to know how long after staying there, can I apply to sponsor her? what if I don't get a job immediately? moreover I have not earned and hence have no tax papers, what is the correct way to apply. Please help me.

thanks

O wow.. Congrats....
still waiting for my turn....

You can apply anytime after marriage as far as i know (unless some other forum member has a different answer) but plan it properly (with tons of photos showing happy bride and bridegroom, in laws, parents, friends etc...correspondences before and after marriage, phone call bills showing overseas calls to your spouse, trips with your spouse, honeymoon photos etc)..as far having a job it is not a requirement but you should not be on welfare...marrying and having patience with your spouse is much more easier than dealing with insane decision making process of NDVO and the long wait...
