Yes, I can confirm that our app has been 'In Process' since Aug 7 - no change yet. I applied for our 2nd GCMS notes in Sept and received it last week. According to that, it is stuck now at Security and Criminality phase. Eligibility and medical phases over and passed - both which were done by mid August. Not sure why the security / criminality check is taking so long - are they done outside of NDVO, does anyone know?

We're somehow just holding on... and hopefully this should pass soon.

I just checked the cic website and in the application processing time under assessment of sponsor, they say they have already reached October 1 applications. What is NDVO doing with our applications?? :'(..

Hi,
That's the timeline for applications sent to the Mississauga office, where they pre-screen to see if you meet eligibility requirements and if all documents have been submitted.
Once everything checks out, they send the files to NDVO and then the real wait starts.

In Couple of months it will be 2014 and there are so many applicants from 2013 and 2012 still waiting. It is ridiculous and even worse to see that Canadian goverment not adressing these things or coming up with an effective plan. Let's hope they take some action or may be they should atleast give a date to every applicant so that atleast we know how long we have to wait.

Hey guys finally it's decision made(in process since aug 14th)....can't express my happiness. Ndvo has dispatched my wife's passport to VFS Kathmandu today 2013-10-31 hopefully she will receive in couple of days.
