Hi Friends,

Am a March Applicant. My file is in process since 19th September. Its been a month now. Do you think I should order notes now or do mp inquiry?

My first notes said nothing started as of now but two days later my status changed to inprocess.

My lawyer charged $57 for notes. I have seen people posting that the charges for notes are just $5.

Thanks guys

in most cases MP inquiry hasn't resulted in much information (it doesn't mean your case would be too). Having sent your passport and ecas status is 'in process', now that NDVO is processing March/April applications, I would say it is your call to order GCMS. One thing is if you order GCMS electronic version copy, it takes 30 days to get results and ordering 'GCMS' does not cause backlash from NDVO and it is only $5, I would say there is no harm in trying. Try MP as well. You will get answers faster than notes. Don't pay $57 to lawyers for notes, please send me a check or credit card information for this advice. I take all types of credit cards.

OMG OMG OMG

oh wait! I should check first; hey RD, waiting 2, Yogi, M and others::

are we allowed? and is it even legal to use OMG when we get Indian visa on our passports??;

I know naysayers will say it's not shiny; but it is still going to help me meet my beloved so I am just as happy

lol...sure go ahead and say 'omg' (the rule book allows you to say omg in three instances - PPR, change in status, getting shiny visa back..i want to change the rules to include one more 'when nothing happens' as in my notes 'nothing has started'. I have requested the panel members to consider my request). Nothing against 'omg' just making fun of it..maybe I should come up with a different phrase which is as effective as 'omg'..like 'omm - oh my master NDVO..nah not catchy enough as omg...

if you got your shiny visa (send me a scanned copy to prove it is shiny), congrats

Dhoni will be proud of you but we are not..in fact we want everyone to score less than a century (100 days after file transfer) and be 'out' of this forum with their shiny (visa) ball hit the wickets (stamped passport)..it is the opposite team (NDVO) that wants you to stay here forever

Hi everyone,

I got my passport back with visa. I got a call from CHC on 14th oct and that's the day they issued me visa.
I would like to thank everyone who had promptly answered all my questions before and after filing my application.
After going through this entire process I have noticed one thing applicants who request for GCMS notes generally get in process or DM faster than those who don't. Maybe it's a way to earn another 5$ to process faster. I am not saying its 100% true , but I have seen many cases where ordering GCMS notes have helped.
In my case too I ordered for GCMS notes after which they started processing. Even my MP gave a std reply to come back after 11 months. But my husband kept on pressurizing MP to help us and his intervention helped.

I wish everybody all the best. And waiting to exhale there were times I used to login to read your reply. You have amazing sense of humor. Keep up the good work.

Good luck!
