It's DM for me too

I got a call from CHC on 14th October, and the officer asked me if can travel to Canada before 9th November as my medical is expiring on that day. And today I see DM on my status.

My status says a decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. Does everyone who gets DM gets this status?

Btw congratulations to everyone who got DM and good luck to all .

congrats,.......... I have a question, what will happen if you couldn't travel before Nov 9th, do u have to do remedial? and NDVO have to renew ur visa. Can u pls tell me when u receive your visa what is the expiry date on it. thx

actually we fax them on 30th July..before PP request..So i hope they will be dne with background check soon,,,,and gve us some gud news soon

My timeline is very similar to yours, i have a PPR on Aug 6, I didn't receive any request via email. I spoke to my lawyer, he said criminality and background checks starts after they receive the passport. That means our background started in August instead of March. so it will be delayed for sometimes in my opinion.

lawyers are quite a breed....one member in this forum wrote that his lawyer told him that background checks are separately done and got nothing to do with PPR....my lawyer told me the same. In my case, I never got my PPR. My notes says nothing has yet started. So does it mean if they ask for my PPR a year later then the process starts? in some cases people never receive PPR but when everything is done they get a call from NDVO. Until there is somewhere a written rule and some shows me the rule, I am kind of skeptical about lawyers and their opinions. I get better opinion reading this forum than lawyers. Again with regard to ordering notes, some lawyers recommend not to do it and some recommend it.
