I echo that. My friend's wife was here in 3 1/2 months ..and hes not a citizen...so i dont think its got anything to do with PR or Citizen.

The one other thing that makes me feel so bcoz citizens have a right to vote while we do not have so govt. cares more for the votes as well...

2 Questions...

1. Will there be any difference in the process (eg: speedy process) weather the sponsor is a Canadian citizen or a PR holder.. ?

2.Will it be helpful (like speedy process) if the sponsor and applicant got married in Canada (while the applicant was on visit, and then came back to India and applied for PR...the marriage certificate, marriage license, etc was issued from Govt. of Canada) ?

Nobody knows the formula for speedy process.

My Husband is a Canadian citizen (born and bought up in Canada) and still it's been over 6 months since I applied. On contrary I know few PR sponsors whose file was processed within 6 months.

One needs to be very lucky for speedy process. Anyway all the best!

hehe..i never cared about voting..but now i do...i would definitely vote against this Conservative govt.

Hey guys!!! My hubby contact'd MP to know thw status of my file!! Unfortunately, My file is still pending for initial review and will take couple of months for the visa to be issued!! Seriously!!! I am going crazy guys!!! I won't check ecas henceforth.. seriously tired... waiting since more than 8 months.. I wonder why are they doing this.......... :'(

did they requested more documents on ur file in between as well bcoz ur file is already been delayed too much

Yes!! they did request for additional documents on 17th of june... I sent them on the same day... I am wonderibg even after requesting for additional documents they say that the file is pending for initial review and will take minimun 2 months for the visa!!

Ohhh Okay so which did they ask you may be they had started the review of the file the time they requested more documents so it is ur bad luck now that they might have again kept ur file in the bottom of some other files.

I knw its too hard for all us and i can understand what you must be going on through now most of the people from jan have got their visas as well but we all are helpless in front of NDVO and PAFSO we can not do anything dont be dishearted just take this hard time as bad luck as we all do and just think of the time when you will be together with ur partner........

Need urgent help

Hi there.this morning I recived email from ndvo they ask me submit again police verification,I made the enquiry about my file on June they send me email today submit your police clearance which one i did alredy with all document and also when I send pp to New Delhi also I send a photo copy today they ask me submit again if you did ignore it they also say acknowledge recived pp recived so why they did not recived ppc now should I scanned it again and send via email back to them. And how long this police enquires is vaild kindly guide me thanks

I guess they are giving generic answers to every one. I got the same response. We will have to go with the GCMS notes.

Hello guys,

I applied for my wife sponsorship in January and i am still waiting for an answer. Since, PAFSO are very slow in processing files. I decided to go visit my wife for 3 weeks.

Since, I will be in India, I am just wondering if it's a good idea to go to Delhi embassy in person and inquire about the status? Will they answer me?

Is anybody would know if there is another way to receive the birth certificate in India other than in the native region? For example an mother-office in New Delhi or something else? There is a general strike in Andhra Pradesh since August 2nd and the birth certificate is lacking to our file :-[

I got these informations on CIC website : The police certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certifed translator.
