When I met my MP assistant, I gave her details about my application; file number; some forms to sign (sponsored person agreeing for release of information; you authorizing MP to do an inquiry on your behalf). Some might want a photocopy copy of your Driver's license or PR/Canadian citizenship proof). Some would require a personal visit and some would do online submission of information. It all depends. As for response, some MPs give standard response - too early to know (thank god they don't have any more 'on strike so don't expect anything for couple of months' response) or details about your progress

ECAS Status: Basic Question.

My husband checks the on-line Status and it has been showing as "Application Received" since May 2012. We sent the passports in June 2013. He initiated the applicaiton Marh 2013. I see most people here saying their status shows "In Process". Are we talking the same website (cic.gc.ca) for online status checking? When do we get "In Process" and where can we check it?

Your help is immensely appreciated. Thank you.

ECAS is not very reliable sometimes.

I had my PPR on 18th July. There is no update on the same until now.


Take it easy. Be more inclined and positive over the bell ringing at the door. That's where the real news would enter from

Yes, They are talking same website and where you seeing Application Received that will change into "In Process" after that "Decision Made"

Now, When does it change into "In Process" That will only know by NDVO.

i applied for husband on march 6 and our ecas is showing application received and medical received i was wondering still we can get call for interview ? or they waived it already..

try emailing them again ....if no reply then I guess u just have to wait for them to contact u ......since u don't have travel history in your old passport there cld be a slight chance ..they might not even call for your old passport...wait and .lets see wht happens next....don't worry all will be ok wish u all the best

you will get a serious withdrawal symptoms when you get your visa...this is a serious problem since I have heard many people who got their PR in India are running around not bathing, unclean and wearing torn clothes in Indian/Canadian cities muttering 'why my ecas status shows PR issued' .....maybe i should give you my ecas information to keep you going even after you get your visa..i am worried about you
