If i want to knw the status of my application...are GCMS notes really helpful or the updates on E-case is enough ??

I mean what info does GCMS notes give us.. that r not provided on the E-case ?

And the $30 that is to be paid for GCMS notes are for 1-2 months or till I get my passport back ?

don't worry your file is goin fine.........and its too early for u too even think of ordering notes.........basically if u haven't got ppr for 3-4 months then notes is helpful to know if u missed ppr or not....or if nothing is done on your file for 6 months plus..... GCMS notes are essentially all of the notes that NDVO will have on your file. every time u apply for notes its 5$ and notes take a month to arrive...........
again we have noticed ppl have got their visa's and in the notes its clearly said nothing started....so e-cas or notes is not really reliable ....its basically luck and how well u have prepared your file !!

This is really sad on the part of NDVO. They should send the passport at the earliest...because waiting after DM is a waste of time.

Hey guys, my wife's file got transfered to delhi on july 31st. But she havnt got passport request yet.
Looking at most of the timelines on this page, it seem like they are passport within one month of file transfer.
Is it something unusual ? And how do they usually send passport request, my paper mail in india or through my email ?

File Transfer...: April , 2013

From Monday all officers resume work....and start clearing full on backlog........its time to say bye to lot of our family members here ;D ;D ;D in the next 2 weeks this forum is goin to be flooded with only happiness !!! no more sorrows no tear only happiness is goin to spread.....Let us be grateful to all the people here who helped us to be happy and smile and overcome all our problems they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom so a big THANK YOU EVERYONE :-*

Yes, usually everyone gets their passport request within a few months. Now, that the strike is over I am sure you will also be contacted soon. Also, if you have provided an e-mail address in your application, then in that case they will e-mail you.
