Guys pls help me with this, one f my frn got engaged n her fiance s in canada, he s a pr thr n she wants to go thr as early as possible so what if they go fr court marriage nxt month n apply fr her pr?? N thn go fr proper marriage by next year.. Till thn her file wud hv been under process n aftr marrige she cn go thr early not like us waitin waitin n more waiting :-[ anyone who hav applied like this??

i dont think its gonna work as now juz a marriage cert is not enuff proof for them. They need bundle of pics of all the ceremonies and honeymoon. Thn a lot of other proofs like conv's n all.

Do not go for that... I had done the same thing but they made me re-apply basis on my traditional marriage ceremony. Thank god I mentioned that we were going to do ceremony or else it would have been hard to convince them. They definitely reject the application if u say there is no ceremony due to less time or so. So better to wait till mrrg..

When will I get to know about my file is it approved or not..?? Will dey send anything on my mailing address in India ?? Should I contact the post office .. What should I do ... ?? The call centre agent also don't tell anything .. Plz help me as my wife wants to visit me in India ??

Be patient a few more days. She should get email or mail from CIC office in Canada depending what she chose for correspondence. If she didnt choose email, then her letter of approval may be coming through the post and is taking longer. So wait a few more days, and if she still doesnt get anything, she should be able to call them and tell them that she did not get anything yet and it has gone past the processing times posted online. She might be able to get the information from them directly. Good luck and let us know what happened.

I did do that in August.. and they told us that CIC was reviewing the file... that's all...

I am hoping for the same as well.. I was just upset that others who applied on the same date as me.. got theirs... lets see for another few days.

They called my husband for an interview to confirm all the details n they told us to re-apply on basis of mrrg n they will also keep our old file with it... So its like modify forms n send proof of mrrg. So I did that n they combined my files together..
