Thank you guys for the wishes.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed till my wife receives her passport in hand.

The status in the ecas was Application Received and all of a sudden it turned to Decision made.

Yes everyday they are issuing visa but we are happy only when we see someone on this forum getting it by next month April and may will start to see some update.

If anyone got their PPR, let me know. If you have not received your PPR yet, please let me know if you have applied for GCMS and what does it say. Anything about interview? I am concerned that people who applied after me are getting their PPR. Wonder if it is the same Visa officer who is handling our files and is on strike. I am happy people who applied after me are getting their PPR but it is annoying...nothing personal..I am just frustrated.

This is the reply i got from CHC, New Delhi. Can anyone throw some light on this? I applied on Jan 31st and PPR on march 9th but still haven't heard anything about visa from them. On that these kind of replies increase my disappointment.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

We have received your e-mail and have taken note of it. The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.
Contingency plans are in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority is being placed on urgent humanitarian applications.
Unfortunately, this means that this application is & will be pending initial review therefore we are unable to advise when a decision can be expected.

At least you got their reply but it seems a generic reply which they send to everyone.
