travel history really delays d process guys????

Travel history can be part of the background check IF the persons bio data triggers any red flags such as name and date of birth the same or very close to a person on a "watch" list. Background checks can take a VERY long time in certain cases, especially if someone has entered countries illegally or lived in countries illegally, perhaps using false papers, etc. But at the same time, if a person has just travelled a lot in their lives, the checks can be as fast as a person who has never travelled.

What really can slow things down is when a person has lived for 6 months or more in several different countries. Police clearances need to be obtained and verified and not all government agencies are cooperative with this process. It can be quite a struggle for some. If people have held politicial office or military posts in war zones that can also create a lot of difficulties.

These checks are something everyone has to go through so don't stress about them. There is nothing you can do to speed up the process when it comes to this. Keep in mind that for most, the checks come back quickly even if you've vacationed in lots of countries or lived in a few.

hmm mein ne PCC b diye hai sare countries ke.. n i travelled alot i think born hote hi i started travelling.. i hope it doesnt mke any diff....

That's bulls*** from there side that every case is different..
There are so many 2012 applicants on this site who are waiting for months now...

You thinking about applying for GCMS notes or M.P enquiry.. It sucks to know people who have applied after us getting visas before us (again no hard feelings). Really don't understand how they work. It's almost 9 freaking Months for me waiting for the visa :-[

hmm mein ne PCC b diye hai sare countries ke.. n i travelled alot i think born hote hi i started travelling.. i hope it doesnt mke any diff....

I also have a lot of travellin from the time I was born..but nothing more than a month or so... as long as pcc dediya etc sab hojayega ...don't worry....this shld be an exciting week now ....

Yes travel history delay the process upto 30%-40% cause they see where you have travelled, how many times, why did you travelled, did you do anything wrong when you where there in this way they ask for passport little early so they can check the wanted list which is international and national plus your travel time and it delays your process more if you have travelled to canada before your marriage as they might doubt that marriage is not genuine and you just want to have PR.

Hey.. I have no travel history at all.. First marriage,arranged and more than 3000 people attended the wedding.. Being so straight forward case, people who have applied after me are getting visa.. Why not me?? Feeling so hopeless..

pls apply for notes if u haven't...coz maybe u missed ppr....can_visa also applied in april and thru notes she realised missed ppr so with the notes she sent her pp to delhi last month....travel history wldnt be the reason

<rant>My folks travel history is probably holding our file too, my father was AGENT VINOD - approved for visas, 5 passports, 20 trips to USA, dubai, UK etc - he is a security risk that's why he travelled and came back</rant>

P>S - I had 6 passports, Swiss and US student visas - it took me 5 months to get PR from buffalo back in 2001, whatever happened to travel history? then
