congrats for everyone who got their pp back with the shinny visa!!!! i just wanna know a thing .. can i apply for gcms notes from india ? is dat possible? i can fill out the details in online and i can even use the candian credit card ! will tht work ? coz my wife get's confused in applying gcms notes frm der.

Yes you can apply GCMS Notes Online..however make sure u also send the signed consent form of urs and ur spouse as well..

I have a question and i am hoping you guys will help me out. I live in Canada and i got my PR in march 2013. Now i am planning to get married in India in October. I am now confused how to proceed with PR application for my wife. Where should i send her application . New Delhi or Mississauga? Also if i apply for her PR , what are the chances if i apply for visa as well along with PR , she would like to come with me right away after marriage ? Also can we apply for open work permit for her....Please Please guys help me

They don't seem to have a proper FIFO system, its unfair, biased and unprofessional system.
They have an excuse that every case is different, can't do much except wait and curse

One thing is for sure DONT APPLY ANYTHING EXCEPT PR AFTER MARRIAGE. Its not recommended at all. Even before marriage if your wife has a visitor visa or work permit its gonna take almost double the time had she been in india. Moreover, if your wife's visitor visa is rejected it will delay the application for PR as well..If your wife has a travel history then it will get delayed as well.

The process is very simple...I made biggest mistake as i didnt go India prepared and it took additional one month for me to apply..our case was almost finalized before the strike started...every single day that you delay after marriage will count towards end. Just download all the documents from site cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp ..there you will find IMM3900 guide that will help you how to fill the forms..part 1 are sponsorship forms to be filled by you..part 2 is PR application to be filled by your wife (you can fill it too)...you go there and get signature from your wife on forms ..keep multiple copies of signed forms and you can fill them after you come back to canada...
Collect as many marriage proofs as possible..keep expenses receipts..get affidavits from people travelling from abroad to your marriage ..get affidavits from renowned public figure, etc..keep air tiockets, boarding passes, dont miss a chance to click pic when you were together before or after marriage..etc..

i believe canadian embassy does work in a FIFO way for similar cases...there will always be cases that will take longer time..in our case everything was straight forward and we do see our case got passed through GCMS notes..tbut there was a minor glitch due to I having moved from quebec to ontario..the address didnt get updated on delhi side immediately...i think now when they resumed their work they skimmed through all cases that were almost finalized and they gave them DM..for rest like us which they need bit more processing are put to in "processing"..its a professional organization...but if theres even some minor requirement not fulfilled, they will put application on hold and put a date on it, lets say after a month, and they will look after cycle..

That's bulls*** from there side that every case is different..
There are so many 2012 applicants on this site who are waiting for months now...
