I am sure once strike will be finished...within two week every Jan/Feb applicant will be cleared. My hubby had visited Ottawa last week and went to CIC office.. they believe that they going to resolve this very soon

i hear you......same here... and lot of others applicants who r living in Canada...they do have family to support them(sometime families do not understand)....for some reason this whole process is taking people into depression or even more....

thanks and i have asked my MP today to put some pressure to process files asap.. this is ridiculous...

I dont think MPs can put pressure to expedite the processing. They can only get status immediately.

Does not matter....Visa already stamped on ur passport... this is all u need to show to the immigration officer at airport... You can always provide them address at the airport....they will ask you for it in case you like to provide them the new address for the pr card...so concentrate on packing now....

the strike is still going on.. still waiting for it to end .. for the labour boards' hearing....
my medical has expired while the strike was going on.... on 18th this month... so should i send a medical again ... or should i wait for them to ask for the medical.. but them if i wait then it may take another 2 months .. so can some one suggest if i should redo my medical. before they ask and send it to them :-\

But for doing medicals, if I am not wrong, you will need your passport. Do you have your passport with you?

Did you get recent notes you applied ?

We are happy for those who are getting visa & had applied much later but wonder how they are issuing visa to those who applied in March and not for Jan applicants.

Really Astonishing !!

The last one I applied was in July 1st week, for which I got the report in the first week of August. And regarding how NDVO works, it is astonishing to me too... I guess it is purely luck that matters... it may depend on the visa officer to whom our file is assigned.. also, the speed at which background and security checks are done... and I guess again for initiating these checks, it may depend on the visa officer to whom our files are transfered.

Just wonder about How they going to contact and what will be there decision ....I hope it Positive

Thats cool.. excatly in 1 week of time she got her passport back after status changed to "Decision made"...

Just wanted to know can i call my MP for the status...

There is no harm in calling but I guess you can still wait for couple of months and see how your file processing goes. Based on that you can think of contacting MP.

Hi Sania,

Dont worry dear. We all are your family. Since the first day when Gulzar started this thread we all come along this far and now we all are like a family.

Haven't you noticed that when 1 member is sad, all other forum members are supporting. When 1 gets VISA everybody is so happy and cheeeerful. We see so much positive energy flowing in the forum.

This forum is really like a family now so never think that way that you dont have a family.
I must say that this family is more supportive in this waiting game.

If you are not satisfied by the info given by MP office, then I guess GCMS is next option..
