yup Fingers crossed - hope all jan feb march applicants get the visas soon :p fir hum april valon ki turn ayegi lol

We got the passport too! November 2012 applicant here.

Wife got a call on monday asking if she can travel before expiry of medical. She said yes. Another call 2 hours after that asking her to come collect her passport on tuesday - yesterday.

Passport collection time is 3PM at NDVO office usually. We were there at 3PM. Not many people around. Only Indian staff within office... atleast they were the only that my wife could see. The concerned official was nice to deal with, and handed over visa, landing papers, all of our photos and marriage cards sent with the initial application. Total time spent within the office - about 15 min.

They did cancel her existing multiple entry TRV though. Said you cant have a PR and a TRV of the same country at the same time.

Hope you found this useful.

Regards,
Rajat

hope so too.

Does anyone know for how long PCC and medicals are valid for? (sorry if this has been asked million times before)
My wife completed and sent her PCC and Medicals in March 2013.

My e-cas still says "Application Received". I have read that e-cas is not updated regularly. It's better to not rely on it too much.

That is what I wanted to hear, which is why I rarely check E-cas.

medical-1 year
PCC: 1 year if sent to CIC within 3 months of issue...
eg: If PCC is issued on 1st jan 2013 then it will be valid till 1st jan 2014 if it was sent to CIC before 1st April 2013.

Thanks for this great news. This is the first time I have felt good about things in 2 months. At least something is happening. Two PR's in a week, is the most we have had in 2 months.
