Maybe I am being too cynical here...but most of the countries suffering from this strike are non-european counrties.

Dear friends,

I am a new member here. Thanks to all the regular members for their useful information. It has been a useful source of information even since I applied.

I wanted to share some news with you all. My timeline is the following:

Medical: 30 Nov, 2012
Application: 9 Jan, 2013
Passport request: 9 Mar, 2013
Passport sent: 21 May, 2013 (I was travelling in April and May)
Decision made: 6 Aug, 2013

I received a call from the NDVO, informing me that I have been granted the PRV. I was asked whether I would like to collect the package of docs in person from the NDVO, or have it sent by registered post.

It can be concluded that processing of family class applications at NDVO is operational, but at a much slower pace.

I know that it's frustrating to sit and wait for updates on our application. Our email queries are usually ignored. But, be patient and hang in there. If your application is free from complications, approval will come.

Hi all..
I am new to this forum...but have been following this for the past few weeks...it has been quite useful..
I want to share my timeline
application: aug 2012
med: april 2012
AOR received: nov 2012
ppr(1st one): nov 2012 (didnt send the passport)
Interview: 6th march 2013
re medical: june 2013
ppr(2nd one): june 2013 (coz my daughter was born in nov 2012, so had to apply for her passport n all)

My husband in canada received a letter on 2nd May saying that our daughter has been added to the application and approved. And case has been sent to NDVO for further processing...
I emailed NDVO asking for the processing time to add my daughter at NDVO on 12 may..Finally got a reply from them on 2nd aug...which is as follows:
Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration
Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

Please be advised that your application has been in the final stages of
processing. We wil contact you if any decision is taken on your
application.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Can anybody help me know what does "your application has been in the final stages of processing mean actually?".I mean can i expect my passport back with visa soon?

Ecas says "In process"... medicals received..n it says they started processing my application in march 2013...
