My spouse received call from embassy as well and missed the call, called back but the lady over the phone said they will call back.
Any one who have been through the same situation?? What should we do now .
Any suggestion !!

if they said they would call back, i think there is no other choice..just wait, but u should have hold your phone even in bathroom, i mean u should not have missed. they may take some time to come back to your file. nobody knows their nature. HOPE n WISH they call u soon again n u dont miss that

Hey bhar thats great!! You should tell your principle applicant to keep the phone with him/her all the time...Also keep an eye on the e-mail address you submitted in the application..they might contact through email..good luck! :)

very true!
on a different note...Manilla visa office is also one of the offices on strike...still 2 people from 2013 got passport request yesterday :o...strange right..its only New Delhi not willing to shell out Visas huh...

No one in Manila has gotten a visa, just a PPR. Any clerk or admin person can send out a letter to request a passport. Probably just buying time to shut people up. Once visas start getting issued then there will be cause for celebration.

guys how do u know it was from embassy...y i am asking is coz I am a banker hence miss many calls during the day.

Kindly advice... I dont want to miss the call...in case I get it.

Weird is an understatement. I submitted my passport October 2012. 10 months.

Have you contacted your MP? I would seriously be riding my MP's a$$ by now. This is unacceptable and I am sorry you are going through this.

Welcome back every1..long weekend is over...& hopefully our misery too :)

We should expect a resolution soon since both PAFSO and TB are feeling the heat now.Below is a message from the Minister of Tourism ...

"...Government inaction on resolving this matter is unacceptable. It is my hope that newly-named Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Chris Alexander’s first order of business is to re-engage the PAFSO in negotiations to ensure that Canada remains open for business. I have written to him personally to raise his awareness of this serious concern."...

Thanks for the information Zormas, you always have something interesting to share with the group. :D
It seems there is a lot of pressure being put on the gov't to end this strike, I just hope it's the right amount of pressure to the right people. I fee like it has just gone so far now that it is a battle of wills. I'm beyond frustrated now. I just want to go back to waiting patiently for my husband's visa (without the strike)!
