Privacy act is only for Canadian Citizen - so if she wanted to order notes for Canadian Citizen then its free, but your are not thus have to go via Access to Info

She has to request on your behalf and you need to give her signed consent form

Headaches and heartaches over embassy strikes

The effects of the strike action of Canadians working in embassies and high commissions aboard are starting to be felt here in Canada.

What should I do with CSQ?

I am a New Delhi applicant applying from Quebec. I just received my wife's CSQ. Can you guys please advise on the following?

1. Should I wait for New Delhi to ask for this CSQ?
Or
2. Should I just go ahead and send it anyway? and if I go this way, Should I send it directly to New Delhi by myself or should I send it to my wife and ask her to send it in?

My wife already sent in the passports. Should we send CSQ to the same address?

Also at the time of application, my wife was only able to provide here 10th class certificate as proof of d.o.b but now she got an official date of birth certificate. Should we also send it in?

Thanks,

Hi,
I got my 2nd GCMS notes today. Not much changes compared to my 1st notes. Changes are as below,
Eligibility status changed from, "Not Started" to "Recommend Passed". Also in the notes section it is mentioned as below:
*****RECOMMENDED FOR REVIEW***** <followed by some personal info.. > PA & Sponsor are compatible in all aspects. The wedding was performed in accordance with cultural norms. Relationship appears to be genuine. Interview waiver recommended. File sent to officer for review.
***************************

Below is the summary of my overall status:
1. Eligibility - Recommend Passed
2. Security - Not started
3. Criminality - Not Started
4. Medical - Passed

Planning to apply for another GCMS request after 19th of this month. As my file was transfered on 19th Feb to New Delhi office. And I saw some updates being done on 19th June. So I guess every month 19th might be the due date / checkpoint date for activites on my file. I may be wrong.. its just a guess.
Currently I am at my work. After my work, I will go through further details of the report and will let you guys know if any significant information.

Thanks for sharing Gupta. Congratulations on eligibility passed.
On my file last update was done on 12th June. As I found thru the notes only that PPR was done in march ,but we din't receive it, I am planning of sending the PP with cover letter.

Minister Clement Announces Third Tentative Agreement Reached with Public Sector Unions in a Month
For immediate release
August 1, 2013

Ottawa – The Honourable Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board, today announced that the Government of Canada has reached its third tentative agreement with a public sector union in the span of a month, underscoring the Government's commitment to reaching fair and reasonable settlements that protect the interests of both employees and taxpayers.

A tentative agreement was reached early this morning with the Public Service Alliance of Canada, the union representing the Technical Services (TC) Group. Together with two previous tentative agreements reached with correctional officers and aviation inspectors, the Government has reached settlements involving more than 18,000 public sector workers since July 4.

"Through fair and reasonable negotiations we have been able to reach a tentative settlement with the Technical Services Group on a new collective agreement," said Minister Clement. "This is the same balanced and consistent approach which has allowed the Government to settle 24 of 27 collectively bargained agreements in the core public service."
The offer is consistent with settlements reached with other groups in the core public administration and is aligned with what is offered by other public- and private-sector employers. The Technical Services Group represents 10,850 employees in six classification groups responsible for drafting, illustration, photography, inspection and engineering support.

Further information regarding collective bargaining matters can be found on the Collective Bargaining Update page on the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat website.

Not sure if that is a good / bad idea... I guess before doing that if you haven't emailed them till now, try emailing them about your issue.. and see what they say...
