Hey Guys

I wrote this letter to PAFSO....

Dear Sir/Madam

I had sponsor my husband in February 2013. I need to know about yesterday meeting. Will immigration officers will get back to work as you have selected arbitration to resolve the issue. I know your strike is for your rights but this is strongly effecting our lives.

Please confirm me as I am alone here and desperately waiting for my husband to be with me.

I am writing their letter with hope that you will reply me .

Thanks for your time.

Ramanjot Sandhu

They reply me this....

Good afternoon Ms. Saini:

Unfortunately, the strike is still going on and we do not have any idea when it might possibly end. That being said, the concept of the strike is "turning". The list of missions withdrawing services changes almost on a daily basis. As for yesterday, PAFSO sent a letter back to Treasury Board making a counter-offer on the conditions of arbitration. We are still awaiting the government's response.

Our actions have been taken as a result of a protracted breakdown in contract negotiations with the Government of Canada. As part of the democratic bargaining process, unions have the ability to withdraw services in all locations where they have members working. The union received an overwhelming mandate from its members to use all available tools to bring the Government of Canada back to the negotiating table. The current situation is a direct result of the Government’s refusal to return to the negotiating table with a fair and reasonable offer that recognizes the work of Foreign Service officers.

Foreign Service officers who do immigration work take great pride in their work and want nothing more than to come to a reasonable settlement with their employer. You can help to encourage the Government of Canada to return to the bargaining table or accept the offer of binding arbitration by writing to the two Canadian Ministers who will influence this decision, i.e. President of the Treasury Board, Mr. Tony Clement (tony.clement@parl.gc.ca or @tonyclementCPC ) or newly nominated Citizenship and Immigration Minister, Mr. Chris Alexander (chris.alexander@parl.gc.ca; @calxandr ).

We are unable to answer case specific inquiries. You can however learn how to lodge an inquiry for your husband at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp .

You can find information on processing times at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

We regret any inconvenience this may cause and wish you luck with your husband's visa application.

Did not say to make you feel guilty nor does it bother to me at all.

Just that people will read your initial message and may end up missing the modified version
