I absolutly do not agree with you jk45. Nobody want us here to do low class labor jobs. In my company, which is owned by a canadian, 90% of jobs that require high skills like accounting, finance, IT, HR are occupied by immigrants from other countries and they all are earning so gud. It all depends upon your education and choice. People chose to go for labor jobs because either they are not educated or they want to earn lots of money quickly (offcourse labor jobs pay so well)
Canada is a wonderful place to live. Even in parliament, you will see all kind of people.

Hi Jask,

I do agree with you...

Even i am doing the reputed job here...and earning very well.....unlike many people i goto india 3-4 times a year.

It is not all about the money always.....it is something else....

I requested my MP Office to have the status update of my application. According to her email received today, my file is currently in waiting queue for final review and decision by a visa officer. According to her, the report looks very good.

She also mentioned about the strike that will have impact on processing time.

Looks like you applied last october. Do you know why it took so long for your file to process? Any idea or guesses??

24 July 2013 - Statement by the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers: PAFSO Responds to Government's Conditional Acceptance of Arbitration
This morning, PAFSO sent a letter to the President of the Treasury Board. The correspondence addresses the conditions which the Government is seeking to attach to its acceptance of binding arbitration.

While we would have preferred to initiate the arbitration process without preconditions, PAFSO is committed to finding a reasonable and responsible way forward which will allow for a full and fair hearing of arguments from both sides – an objective we are sure the Government shares.

We await the Government's response. Until the conditions for arbitration are resolved, there will be no change in PAFSO’s job action measures.

PAFSO will update our members, the general public, and the media once we have more information to share.

For more information, contact: media@pafso-apase.com

Looks like the losses faced by Govt. due to the strike was massive compared to hike compensation for 1350 union employees..
Doesn't make sense to me :(
And PAFSO at the expense of long waiting couples, students, workers, medical emergency candidates is totally unfair..

And how will PAFSO clear these backlog's once they return back to work?
I read somewhere that they will contribute more time until they clear major of the backlog's . I hope they stand to it once they are back on track.

Doesn't look good.
