Guys I dont know if it makes any difference or not but I just send a msg to Prime Minister Mr.Harper via his website. Asking him to take some action towards this Strike.. We have heard all the news on how much the backlog is but we did not hear what Mr.Harper is doing about it.

Don't think it make much of a difference to him but we can all try... Here is a link to the form if you all want to send too

i agree... but wht abt the matter???

@magess wht did u write???

This is a very fine idea. I approve!! lol

But, on a serious note I wrote that we Canadians want to basically move on with our lives and we are tired of living in limbo. We want to unite with our partners and some of us even have dependent children which makes it all the more harder on the family unit as a whole.

This basically sums it up but I elaborated and used all the 2000 characters assigned to me, I love writing painful essays lol...

Dear Mr Prime Minister,

Please help in resolving issues with Strike actioned by Canadian diplomats working in Foreign. There are many innocent Canadian waiting to spend life with their loved ones. I am one of them who is living alone and have no social or mention support. I am counting every single sec of my life wanting for my husband. Please Please Please help!

I will write again on Wed.. I want to keep scrapping them every other day... It would great if we all do that... :D

I am sure the PM's representatives are the ones who actually look at the messages, not the actual PM .. does this even work? i doubt it lol

May be you can check this thread where a petition is created to speed up the process.

nicely done....

Here is mine,

Hello Mr. PM Harper,

Hope your health is in good condition because I am having some serious issue in my regular life. I have a wife that I wanted to sponsor here in Canada and I have applied for her on Jan 2013. I see that you are working hard in Canada day by day and would appreciate how you work but, the PAFSO strike that is delaying our process is not helping. They are lots of backlogs that are keep piling up day by day and to make it worst there is nobody who is actually doing work. It would be a great help if you do some action in having the issue resolve or at least have some action taken for this matter. If any of the officer's put them selves in our shoes and we do the same thing that is happening to us what will be the result. The point is that the more waiting we have to have the more bad will happen not only to the country but also to the officer's as in people will give "Bad prayers from the heart". This will not only effect them but to everyone associated with it and to make it worst the prayer will be answer by the God in such a way that nobody will imagine what the outcome will be. All it takes is one "Bad prayers from the heart" and it will be a sincere prayers and we will see the outcome.

Thank you for your time in reading this complain and I wish that everything will be resolved accordingly to have everyone there life back to normal. I am praying for everyone and on behalf of everyone to help us get this issue resolved. Please help us.

Ohh man... I see some serious cursing going on in here...Yeah you know what ?? those guys deserve it..... I can literally see these 2-3 Indian visa officers sipping tea with samosas and being cranky about not being able to go on strike with their Canadian counterparts.... But honestly man.. m forced to think.. what the hell ..We are a billion ppl.. Why can't the immigration appoint some local professionals as substitute visa officers to clear the backlog... I am sure we have a lot of qualified and smart people good enough and most importantly willing to do the job.. Just for the time being..What's the point it putting a thousand application in backlog everyday ? ::) :(

I have never heard of any Visa office promising to get all applications done within 6 months. I wish it were true, but on the website, if you go to processing times for each visa office it says 10 months for 80% of cases. That is what we should be going by.

Saks, I don't now whether they are going to do it or not. But they have exactly written this in the email that my husband (user name: Gauti) received from them last week. Somehow, their website and email content is not matching.... but I just pray that they stick with what they have written in the email....
