Way too early.
It's been 2 months since I sent my passport to Ndvo.... so its best to wait for a month or so now...
I am a March end applicant...
It seems that they are processing jan 2013 applicants as of now...
Though the strike is still on.... people are getting dms and their passport back...so we should just keep our spirits up and wait for the visa

It is way way too early to apply for gcms notes...apply by august end...

I am talking about PPR request. My file was transferred on april 9. you are waiting your passport back with visa but me i even haven't send passport to visa office yet.

I have a question on truly certified documents. Does it have a validity date too like medical and PCC? Can i get my documents certified one or two months before applying or i can get it certified only before applying? Thanks in advance for responding!

We have to submit original Medical and PCC , medical is valid for 1 year and PCC for 6 months. So get them just before (1 month earlier) applying.

Oh I am sorry.
Then you should apply now itself.
It takes 30 days to get the notes back .
All the best

What about documents like birth certificates etc? I am referring to getting certified the xerox as true copies. Does it have validity?

yes nrn1... I guess apply for GCMS ASAP... it will take around 1 month to receive your GCMS notes after you apply for it... and there is no harm in applying for GCMS notes...

i want to know that after new rules does visa office is calling for interviews or not and what is a chance to call for interview

Hi Guys,

I need help please. I am an April applicant and I got a PPR on June 3 for my wife in Delhi.

My problem is I may have mis-read the Indian visa office instructions. it says:

Birth and/or baptism certificate
Note: If the birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original
documents establishing identity such as:
• old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation certificate), and
• Voter's ID card.
Court documents concerning custody of children, if applicable.

My wife's birth is registered late and I have sent a photocopy of the birth certificate and original old school records along with original PAN Card! (to help establish identity)
But now that I am reading it again, I am losing my mind and can't grasp what is being asked here. Are they asking for original birth or baptism certificate?
We have no baptism certificate for her ever, just a regular birth certificate which was created same time last year.

Please help with your expertise ladies and gents!

I think if you get ur PPR then most likely ur interview has been waived, that is just my belief though i could be wrong ..

You can send xerox of rest of the certificates.

@nrn1

It's too early to apply for GCMS notes.. Also, they will email you for passport request.
They normally take 3-5 weeks before they will for your passport once your application gets to NDVO.. Good luck! :)
