should be PCC you lived in for last 6 months. you have to apply at one place and this is their headache if you lived in at multiple places. You can also apply on passport India website as well.

What I know is that PCC is required from every state u lived in separately...
as there is no Indian Police...so Punjab Police does not have UP/Delhi in its scope...

@ Gupta417,
If I am not mistaken, you need a minimum of 10 posts on the forum before you can modify your profile information to include your timeline details. I think with this post, I hit my 10th post, so I will try my own suggestion to see if this works! ;D

Cheers,

Ohh... thats the reason I wasn't seeing the option that was told to me. Thanks for the info.

Hello guys,
I am a new membe.I have a quick question:
People who received the PPR request- were you able to login to ecas using your spouse's UCI/application number right away or did you had to wait for a few weeks?

Hello There ,
I have a query . I am a March 2013 applicant.
How long does it take for the Canadian High Commission to send back the passport stamped with the Visa after the approval of Stage 1 .
We got a letter from the High Commission of Canada stating that they want my passport .
My husband is a Permananent Resident and he applied for my PR in Mississauga first and later after he was approved as a sponsor, they sent my package to New Delhi. We got mail conformations for all these communications periodically from CIC.
Can somebody let me know how long does it usually take for the passport to get stamped and be returned?
The Visa Processing times( Stage 2) for India has considerably increased. ... previously it was 6 months...now it is 10 months....
Getting asked for passport from New Delhi, is it a good sign?

Hi Atrayee,
The real wait starts after you send passport to Delhi. I have seen few people for whom they got their passports stamped in 2 to 4 months. At same time I see few people in various forums who are waiting for their passports for more than 6 months. But I guess it might be becuase they might have got request for some additional documents which delayed their process, which they might not have mentioned in the forums and also their case might not be a straight forward case. So hope for the best and be positive. :)

Regards,
Gupta

Hi Gudda22, Normally once we get file number from Mississauga office, we should be able to check eCase status using your spouse's UCI / application number.

Hi,

I got my PR in 2010, returned back to India shortly after.
I got married in 2011 and had our first child in 2102. Now I am planning to move back to Canada and apply PR for my wife and kid with them being in India during the application. Since I have been married for over 2 years and we have a kid does that improve our chances of get the PR quicker. What kind of proof of relationship do I need to show to get a quicker processing and how many months is quick in New Delhi.

Hi Gupta,
Thanks. Ours is a pretty straight forward case. We had mailed them all our chat histories around 600 odd pages. But they returned those back stating that we have sent enough proofs, if need be they will ask for more. Otherwise our application is full proof..... So I and my husband are keeping my fingers crossed. If the visa comes within 4 more months then it would be great . 2 months is being very very optimistic........ which I guess wont happen....looking at the majority of posts in this forum .... i already got an idea that indeed the procedure from Delhi is very lengthy.....

Best Regards
Atrayee
