whats your timeline?..........ppl from jan feb have started to get their visa's rt now......who gave their pp in march.........coz of strike everything is delayed !!

Hi Myrah7,

We filed our application in May 2013 in Canada. I received passport request in June 2013 from NDVO . I send passport in passport in July 2013. Im actually a weird case really. I was a canadian landed immigrant at 16 but I lost my PR status coz i ended up living in the US and UAE not pursuing my PR Status. Almost 15 years later i married a canadian so i am now re-applying from scratch as a new spousal applicant. I also got myself a multiple entry canadian visit visa which is valid for 10 years before I applied for Spousal PR.

You can apply for the GCMS notes for in depth information on your file........the whole process is broken and nothing we can do other thn wait...

Yap... I guess since the Harper gov't is getting targeted,
Former high-profile ambassador calls Harper gov't 'mischievous'

This will be resolved soon. I think the strike should be over in no time...

I took the help of MP too just to know the status of my application. since the NDVO has not even started the security and background checks till yet. nothing has been told except that they have received the passport and updated documents.

please dear apply for GCMS notes asap (These are basically notes made by the officer processing your case) see the link below

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo

notes also take 30 days to come....instead of waiting apply for them....

Last month.. and they have told me to wait for next one month. all I have to wait till 22 September

I would say no harm in applying for the GCMS notes....it is only $5 but takes abt 30-35 days...
